The Evolve Diablo Bamboo is the top of the Evolve bamboo lineup — and it shows. Dual 3500W brushless sensored 6374 motors deliver 7000W of combined power, driven by the EFOC 2.0 motor controller and a 20Ah / 864Wh Samsung 50S battery that's 20% larger than previous flagship Evolve batteries. The result is stronger acceleration, less voltage sag through the full ride, higher top speed, and enough torque to handle 45%+ gradient hills without flinching. This is the board you buy when you've outgrown everything else.
Top speed is 50km/h. Range is up to 50km in All Terrain mode, more on Street. The deck is slightly longer than the Fusion and GTR — 101cm vs 96cm — with a 'W' concave and drop-down foot zones that lock your stance in hard during aggressive riding. Silver SuperCarve 2.0 trucks, EFOC 2.0 motor controller, Precision Bearings, and integrated front and rear LED lights customisable via the Phaze Remote and Explore By Evolve App. Three variants cover however you want to ride.

What's the difference between the Diablo Bamboo and Diablo Carbon?
Same motors, same battery, same drivetrain — the difference is entirely in the deck. The Bamboo uses a flexible bamboo + fibreglass composite that absorbs road chatter and carves with a softer, more forgiving feel. The Carbon uses a stiffer full-carbon deck for a locked-in, precise ride at speed. Bamboo suits riders who want a surfy, flexible carve; Carbon suits riders who want maximum stiffness and aggression. Both are available to ride in our Melbourne showroom.
How does the Diablo compare to the Fusion?
The Diablo is a meaningful step up from the Fusion. Larger 3500W motors (vs 3000W), a 864Wh battery (vs 648Wh), 7000W combined power (vs 6000W), and a longer deck with more aggressive concave and drop-down foot zones for harder riding. Is the Diablo suitable for beginners?
It's a genuinely powerful board — ECO mode and app-adjustable acceleration and braking curves make it approachable, but the power on tap in CORSA mode is significant. New riders should start in ECO, dial back the curves in the app, and progress gradually. Most riders with any board sport background find their footing quickly. Demo rides are available 7 days a week in our Melbourne showroom.
My remote vibrates when I accelerate hard — is something wrong?
No — this is Over Current mode working as designed. The Diablo allows a large current draw for short bursts (7–8 seconds), after which the remote drops to Sport mode temporarily. Release the trigger and it returns to CORSA mode automatically. It's a protection feature, not a fault.
Can I upgrade from a GTR Series 2 or Hadean to Diablo performance?
Technically possible, but it requires new 3500W motors, a new EFOC 2.0 motor controller, a new Samsung 50S battery, and new firmware — at that point you're better off purchasing the complete Diablo which includes the deck and SuperCarve 2.0 trucks.
