These Burton base layer pants are the best! Super comfy and a good fit.

I absolutely love the bike and use it nearly everyday.
I’m 67 years old but it’s a bit like going back to having dirt bikes in the mid seventies! Also 12 boards was easy to deal with. A great shop.

Adding another to my collection, best layer for 1st or 2nd layer.

DC Judge Step On Snowboard Boots

Product Overview
The DC Judge Step On Snowboard Boots fuse high-end performance with the speed and simplicity of Step On technology. Made for riders who want powerful response, dialed-in fit, and zero-straps convenience, these boots bring all-mountain capability with premium comfort and fast entry. Step in, lock down, and ride — it’s that simple.

Key Features & Technology

  • Dual Zone BOA® Fit System with H4 Coilers for precise, independent tightening of upper and lower zones.

  • Response Liner III offering multi-density foam, anatomical support, and heat-moldable fit for high-end comfort and stability.

  • 3M™ Thinsulate™ or PrimaLoft® insulation (depending on model year/colourway) for maximum warmth without bulk.

  • IMPACT-ALG™ Insole providing cushioned shock absorption and solid heel hold using eco-friendly algae-based foam.

  • Aerotech Ventilation System built into the shell to regulate internal temperature and reduce moisture buildup.

  • Internal ankle harness for locked-in heel hold and improved responsiveness.

  • Articulated construction allowing natural flex patterns without breaking down the boot structure.

  • Step On® outsole engineered for seamless boot-to-binding integration and ultra-fast entry/exit.

Why It’s Premium
The DC Judge Step On sets the benchmark for performance within the Step On ecosystem. Its dual-dial BOA system delivers micro-adjustable precision, the liner and insulation keep your feet supported and warm, and the Aerotech system helps maintain a dry, comfortable ride. The combination of durability, comfort, and rapid Step On compatibility makes it a top choice for riders who want peak performance with zero fuss.

Fit & Style Notes
These boots feature a medium-stiff flex, ideal for all-mountain chargers and riders who like precise edge control. The dual-zone BOA allows riders to fine-tune lockdown for a fully custom fit, especially beneficial for eliminating heel lift. Heat-moldable liners adapt to the shape of your foot over time. Best paired exclusively with Step On bindings — and best suited for intermediate to advanced riders who value responsiveness.

Care Guide
Remove liners and footbeds after riding to air-dry fully. Keep boots away from heaters or direct high heat to prevent warping or material damage. Brush off snow and debris from the outsole and shell after each session. Store in a cool, dry space when not in use. With proper care, the boot’s liner, BOA system, and Step On integration will maintain smooth performance season after season.

About Snowboard Boots — Buying Guide

Snowboard boots are the most important part of your setup. They connect you to your board, affect your control, comfort, warmth and how much energy you burn across a full day on the hill. Getting the fit right is everything — a boot that fits correctly makes riding easier from your first run. A boot that doesn't will ruin your day regardless of how good the board underneath it is. At Twelve Board Store we fit hundreds of riders every season across brands including Vans, Burton, K2, Ride, ThirtyTwo and DC. Every boot in our range has been ridden and assessed by our team. We only stock boots we'd recommend to our own crew.

Getting your size right online: Measure your foot in centimetres while standing with full weight — this is your Mondo size, the most accurate way to find your boot size. Snowboard boots use US sizing. 25cm = US7, 26cm = US8, 27cm = US9, 28cm = US10, 29cm = US11, 30cm = US12. Boots should feel snug straight out of the box — toes grazing the end when standing, lifting slightly when knees bend forward. A boot that feels comfortable in your lounge room is too big for the mountain.

Volume matters as much as length: Low volume boots suit narrow, low-arch feet. High volume suits wide feet or high arches. Getting volume wrong causes pressure and pain regardless of length. If you're between sizes or have a wide foot, contact us before you buy — we'll point you to the right boot.

Flex rating: Soft (1–4) for beginners, park riders and those who want a surfy, forgiving feel. Medium (5–7) for all-mountain versatility. Stiff (8–10) for aggressive freeride, carving and riders who want direct response and maximum support.

Closure systems: Traditional lace is still the most popular — micro-adjustable, direct feel, lower price point. BOA® dial gives you one-hand precision tightening with gloves on, fast on/off between runs. Hybrid BOA combines lace at the foot with a dial at the instep for zone-by-zone control. Speed lace is faster than traditional lace and lighter than BOA.

Wrong size? We'll swap it. Not sure? Call us on 03 9421 2293 or chat online — our team will give you a straight answer based on your foot shape, riding style and where you're planning to ride. If you're in Melbourne, come in and try them on at 435A Bridge Road Richmond. We heat mould liners in-store — no appointment needed.
