The 2027 Bataleon Blaster AW FASE snowboard binding in Black is the flagship fast-entry, high-performance binding in the Bataleon range. It takes everything riders love about the Blaster and adds the FASE® Fast Entry System, served up with the Bataleon flavour: the AsymWrap™ chassis for tweakable flex, a 2° canted footbed for natural comfort and AuxTech® straps that wrap your boot. Step in, close up and ride from open to close.
This all-black colourway keeps it clean on any board, with a mid 6/10 flex that balances tweakability with support.
What Is FASE®?
FASE® stands for Fast Entry System: the locked-in comfort and response of a two-strap binding with the convenience of fast entry. On the Blaster it works like this:
- AutoBack. Hands-free entry: the highback closes automatically as your boot goes in and opens when it's time to unstrap. It also folds flat for skating, chairlifts and storage.
- Locking Strap. The Locking Slap Ratchet and tri-toothed ladders keep the toe strap in place, with easy adjustments on the go. Set it and forget it.
- Fast Strap. A long ankle ladder that stays connected for fast, one-handed strapping, with a classic ratchet to fine-tune ankle strap tension.
It's compatible with all board models and riding styles, and you don't need special boots.

How does the Bataleon Blaster AW FASE work?
Set the Locking Strap once. Slide your boot in and the AutoBack highback closes behind you, then strap the Fast Strap ankle strap with one hand. To get out, open the ankle strap and lift your heel.
Do I need special boots for FASE?
No. The Blaster AW FASE works with all board models and riding styles, and no specialised boots are required.
Will it fit my board?
Yes. It's compatible with all board models and fits 2x4, 4x4 and Channel mounting patterns.
What size Bataleon Blaster AW FASE do I need?
S fits US men's 5–7, M/L fits 7.5–10 and L/XL fits 10.5–12.5. At the top of each size (7.5–8 on S, 10.5–11 on M/L, 13–14 on L/XL) the fit depends on your boot, and Bataleon says it's safest to size up. The safest bet is to check your boots on the binding.

About Snowboard Bindings — Buying Guide
Bindings are the most underestimated part of your snowboard setup. Most riders spend weeks choosing a board and minutes choosing bindings — but bindings are the complete communication layer between your body and your board. Every turn you initiate, every edge you engage, every carve and press travels from your boots through your bindings to the board. Get this right and you'll never think about them again. Get it wrong and it's all you'll think about all day.
At Twelve Board Store we stock bindings from Burton, Ride, K2, Nitro, Flux, Salomon, Jones, Rome, Bent Metal and Nidecker — covering traditional strap, Burton Step On® and Supermatic rear-entry systems across all price points and riding styles.
Sizing — every brand is different: Boot size drives binding size, but S/M/L/XL means something different across every brand. Burton Small runs US 3–6. Flux Small runs US 4–6. Nitro Small runs US 5–6. Never assume your size is the same brand to brand — check the sizing chart for each binding before you buy. When you're between sizes, go smaller. A snug binding fits better than a loose one every time.
Systems: Traditional strap bindings work with every boot and offer the widest range of options and price points. Burton Step On® requires specific compatible Burton boots — three contact points click in when you step on the board, no straps, completely different experience for resort riders doing laps. Supermatic rear-entry (Nidecker OG, Nidecker LT, Bent Metal Lightning) folds the highback down for faster entry without the boot compatibility requirement of Step On.
Setup matters: Once you have the right binding, set it up correctly. Boot centred toe-to-heel over the board edge. Toe strap centred across the widest part of your toe box — not on your toes. Ankle strap centred across the top of your ankle. Straps firm but not crushing. If you need to over-tighten to stop heel lift, the binding is too large.
