About Dakine
Dakine started on Maui's North Shore in 1979, when surfer Rob Kaplan began making surf leashes in Haiku. In 1986 the brand moved to Hood River, Oregon, at the foot of Mt Hood, and the snow side took off from there. Dakine is also the crew behind the original Heli Pack, launched in 1996 as a low-volume pack for backcountry riders and skiers.
Today Dakine is known for packs that are built by riders and tested hard on the hill. Its team signature packs carry the names of riders like Jamie Anderson, Red Gerard and Sammy Carlson, and the range runs from everyday school and work packs to dedicated backcountry touring packs. If you want a bag that's sorted, tough and easy to live with, Dakine is a name riders have trusted for decades.
FAQs
Does the Dakine 365 21L fit a laptop?
Yes. The main compartment has a non-padded laptop sleeve that fits most 15" laptops. Because the sleeve isn't padded, a slim laptop case is a good idea if you're carrying a premium machine every day.
Is 21L big enough for school or uni?
For most people, yes. 21L takes a laptop, a couple of books, a jumper and lunch. If you carry big binders or sports gear as well, look at a 25L or larger pack.
Will it carry a skateboard or snowboard?
No. The 365 is an everyday daypack with no board straps. For board carry, look at the Dakine Mission or Heli Pro packs.
How do I clean it?
Spot clean with mild soap, cold water and a soft brush, then let it air dry fully before storing. Don't put it in the washing machine or dryer.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
