What is Caliber known for?

Caliber Truck Co makes reverse-kingpin (RKP) trucks built for carving, cruising, freeride and downhill, and the Caliber II is their benchmark. Riders rate them for a smooth, predictable turn, solid stability at speed and genuinely tough construction, all at a price that makes them one of the best-value quality longboard trucks around. They are a common upgrade and a common factory fitment on good completes for good reason.

What size and angle Caliber should you get?

Two things to match: width and baseplate angle.

• Width — match roughly to your deck. Caliber comes in 158mm and 184mm (measured differently to some brands, but broadly cruiser and standard-longboard widths). Narrower turns sharper, wider is more stable.
• Baseplate angle — Caliber offers different angles (commonly 44 and 50 degrees). A higher angle (50) turns more and suits carving and cruising; a lower angle (44) is more stable and suits faster freeride and downhill.

How do you tune the turn?

Bushings are the main lever. Softer bushings turn more easily for easy carving and cruising; firmer bushings add stability for speed and heavier riders. Caliber trucks respond well to bushing swaps, so if the turn feels off even after adjusting the kingpin nut, new bushings are the fix, and we can match the right ones to your weight and style.

Caliber, Paris or another RKP truck?

All are quality reverse-kingpin trucks and the choice comes down to feel and the angle and width options you want. Caliber is known for a slightly more responsive, turny feel and strong value; Paris for a smooth, planted classic feel. Both carve beautifully.
