Z-Flex Roundtail Longboard P.O.P Blue Fade | 39.5"
A best-seller reissued in a blue fade, built to cruise anywhere.
The P.O.P Blue Fade Roundtail is a reissue from Z-Flex's best-selling range of all time. P.O.P is Pacific Ocean Park, the abandoned Venice Beach pier at the heart of the Z-Boys story, and the series draws on 1970s Dogtown hot-rod and graffiti culture. The roundtail is a staple of the Z-Flex range: a versatile, easy-riding longboard for every level.
It runs Z-Flex 45° 180mm reverse kingpin trucks, which sit lower and feel more stable than standard trucks, with soft 90A cushions for smooth turning. Big, soft 69mm 83A wheels roll smoothly over almost any concrete, so it's comfortable for the daily commute, a surf check or a long coastal cruise. The kicktail adds control for tight turns.

About Z-Flex
Z-Flex is one of skateboarding's original brands. It was started in 1976 by Kent Sherwood, Jay Adams's stepfather, a fibreglass craftsman who had been building boards for the Zephyr team in Dogtown, the Santa Monica and Venice Beach stretch of the California coast. When Sherwood split from Zephyr he took Jay Adams and a handful of Z-Boys with him under the name EZ-Ryder, and within six months the brand became Z-Flex.
Z-Flex lays claim to the first skateboard with a concave top and to a smoother-riding wheel that helped shape the soft wheels most riders use today. Its current range still draws straight from that history: the P.O.P, Ruins to Roses, Banana Train, Surf-a-gogo and Aragon Cheetah series all take their stories from Pacific Ocean Park and the Dogtown scene. Riders choose Z-Flex for easy-riding cruisers, longboards and surfskates with real heritage, set up to be fun from the first push.
FAQs
What is the Z-Flex P.O.P Roundtail best for?
Cruising and commuting. The long, stable deck and soft 69mm wheels make it smooth and relaxed on rough footpaths, and the reverse kingpin trucks carve easily. It's a great all-rounder for surf checks and coastal paths.
Is a 39.5" longboard the right size for me?
It suits most teens and adults, from first-timers to experienced riders. At 39.5" long and 9.5" wide, it's a stable, roomy deck that's still manageable to carry. If you want something more compact, a Z-Flex 38" pintail or 31" surfskate is lighter, and for even more stability on long rides, look at the 41.5" drop-throughs.
Is the P.O.P Roundtail good for beginners?
Yes. The long, wide deck, reverse kingpin trucks and soft 69mm wheels are stable and forgiving, and Z-Flex designs the roundtail for all levels. It's an easy board to learn pushing, carving and foot-braking on.
What's the difference between drop-through and top-mount?
The P.O.P Roundtail is a top-mount: the trucks bolt under the deck, so you stand a little higher and get more leverage over the trucks. That makes it carvier and more responsive, which suits relaxed cruising and surf-style turns. A drop-through sits lower for extra stability and easier pushing on long commutes, so pick the Z-Flex 41.5" drop-through range if distance is your priority.
Can I commute on the P.O.P Roundtail?
Yes. The soft 69mm wheels roll over cracks and rough footpaths and hold speed well, and the reverse kingpin trucks keep it steady. It's longer than a cruiser, so it's less handy to carry onto crowded trains.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
