Globe Kids Softie Micro Complete Natural Por Vida | 7.9"

Globe Kids Softie Micro Complete Natural Por Vida | 7.9"

A soft-riding, short-wheelbase Globe complete that makes learning feel easy.

The Globe Kids Softie Complete in Natural Por Vida at 7.9" is a scaled-down skateboard built to help younger riders build confidence fast. Soft 51mm 83A wheels roll smoothly over rougher pavement, and a recycled rubber soft-top grip is gentle on skin and shoes, so the learning curve feels a lot less scrappy.

It's still a proper Globe: a Resin-7 hard rock maple deck with mellow concave for easy foot placement, 5.0" Tensor alloy trucks with soft bushings, and ABEC-7 bearings. The 7.9" width gives small riders a stable stance, while the 27.25" length and 11.5" wheelbase keep it light and quick to turn. About Globe

Globe is Melbourne skate through and through. Brothers Peter, Stephen and Matt Hill grew up skating here, started importing boards out of Fitzroy in 1985, launched the Globe brand in 1994 and added their own skateboards, cruisers and longboards in 2010. The company is still based in Port Melbourne.

Still led by the Hill family, Globe makes its decks and trucks in its own factory, and its kids completes use the same Resin-7 maple and Tensor trucks as the adult range, scaled down for smaller riders.

FAQs

Who is a 7.9" kids skateboard best for?
A 7.9" deck on a short 27.25" kids shape gives younger riders a stable, roomy stance without a long, heavy board to manage. It suits smaller kids who are learning to push, turn and balance.

Is this a good skateboard for beginners?
Yes. Soft 83A wheels, a soft-top rubber grip and easy-turning truck bushings are all chosen to make the first sessions smoother, safer-feeling and more fun.

What is a soft-top skateboard?
A soft-top uses rubber grip instead of sandpaper griptape. It still holds your feet, but it's much gentler on skin when kids put a hand or knee down, and it's easier on shoes.

Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with trucks, wheels, bearings and grip fitted. Set the truck tightness to suit your rider and roll.
