Globe Kids Softie Micro Complete Skateboard Dark Concrete Dreams | 8.25"

Globe Kids Softie Micro Complete Skateboard Dark Concrete Dreams | 8.25"

Soft 83a wheels and rubber grip on a real Resin-7 deck. The friendliest way into skating.

The Globe Kids Softie Complete Skateboard in Dark Concrete Dreams at 8.25" is built around one idea: take the bite out of learning. Globe's Softie setup pairs soft 51mm 83a wheels with recycled rubber grip that's kind on hands, knees and shoes, so early slams sting less and rough footpaths feel smoother. Underneath it's a proper Resin-7 skateboard.

At 8.25" wide, 29.125" long with a short 12.7" wheelbase, it's a scaled-down kids shape with a wide, stable platform for growing feet. Softer bushings in the 5.25" Tensor trucks mean lighter riders can actually lean it into a turn. About Globe

Globe is Melbourne skate through and through. Brothers Peter, Stephen and Matt Hill grew up skating here, started importing boards out of Fitzroy in 1985, launched the Globe brand in 1994 and added their own skateboards, cruisers and longboards in 2010. The company is still based in Port Melbourne.

Still led by the Hill family, Globe makes its decks and trucks in its own factory, and its kids completes use the same Resin-7 maple and Tensor trucks as the adult range, scaled down for smaller riders.

FAQs

Who is an 8.25" kids skateboard best for?
This is a scaled-down kids shape with a short 12.7" wheelbase, but the 8.25" width gives a wide, stable platform. It suits older kids and younger teens with bigger feet who want extra room underfoot while they learn.

Is this a good skateboard for beginners?
Yes, it's built for them. The soft 83a wheels smooth out rough ground, the rubber grip is gentle on hands and knees, and the soft truck bushings make turning easy for lighter riders.

What is a Softie skateboard?
Globe's Softie completes swap standard hard street wheels and sandpaper grip for soft 83a wheels and recycled rubber grip. The result is a quieter, smoother, more forgiving ride for kids still finding their balance.

Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It comes fully assembled with trucks, wheels, bearings and grip fitted. Check the truck tightness suits your rider and go skate.
