Burton Men's Custom Camber Snowboard | Faded | 2027

The Original. Still the One.

Since 1996, the Burton Custom has defined what an all-mountain snowboard should be. No board has been ridden more, copied more, or proven itself more consistently across every terrain, ability level, and riding style. The Custom Camber is the version for riders who want the most responsive, precise, and energetic interpretation of the Custom formula — full camber tip to tail, directional shape, twin flex, and a lightweight carbon-infused core that delivers the same lively, poppy feel from the first run of the season to the last. The Faded colourway brings a hand-done spray paint gradient to the graphic — misty and minimal on top, with a bright gradient base that lights up the snow underneath. Understated in hand, bold underfoot.

The camber profile means constant edge contact, maximum energy storage between turns, and spring-loaded pop that doesn't fatigue. The directional shape keeps the nose slightly longer than the tail to concentrate pop in the tail while giving you float, control, and flow through any terrain or condition. The twin flex is perfectly symmetrical tip to tail — ride it regular, ride it switch, same pop and response in both directions. Squeezebox core profiling transfers rider energy outward from beneath the feet, energising the tip and tail through a balance of thicker, more powerful sections underfoot with thinner, more flexible sections toward the ends — making the board simultaneously snappier and easier to manipulate than a uniform profile would be. Frostbite Edges extend beyond the binding contact zone for substantially improved edge hold on hard, icy, and groomed snow — the edge performance that Australian resort conditions and aggressive carving demand.

The Super Fly II 700G core targets stronger, lighter woods to specific zones for pop, strength, and a lively response that doesn't fatigue. Dualzone EGD positions engineered wood grain along the toe and heel edges for improved edge hold and response right where you load the board. 45° Carbon Highlights adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to the fiberglass matrix — reducing weight, fine-tuning torsional feel, and delivering a ride that's loaded with energy without the stiffness penalty. The Sintered WFO base is deeply wax-absorbent and built for all-season speed. Super Sap Epoxy reduces the resin carbon footprint by 50%. Infinite Ride ensures the flex, pop, and feel you ride on day one lasts the life of the board. 3-year warranty — this is what three decades of refinement looks like.

Why Ride the Burton Custom Camber?
✅ Full Camber Profile – Maximum energy, snappy spring-loaded pop, and precise continuous edge control from tip to tail; the most responsive and demanding profile in the Custom range
✅ Frostbite Edges – Extended edge contact beyond the binding inserts for substantially improved grip on hard, icy, and groomed snow — exactly what Buller, Falls Creek, and Hotham demand
✅ Directional Shape — Twin Flex – Slightly longer nose for float and control in any condition; twin flex delivers identical performance regular or switch with no penalties in either direction
✅ Super Fly II 700G Core with Dualzone EGD – Stronger and lighter targeted woods for zone-specific pop and strength; engineered wood grain along toe and heel edges for improved edge hold and response
✅ 45° Carbon Highlights – Full tip-to-tail carbon layer reduces weight and fine-tunes torsional feel for a ride that's loaded with energy without being stiff or demanding
✅ Squeezebox Core Profiling – Thicker sections underfoot balanced with thinner sections toward the tips; rider energy transfers outward to energise the tip and tail for snappy, stable pop
✅ Pro-Tip — Tapered Tip and Tail Thickness – Reduces swing weight at both ends for faster turn initiation and better mobility in any terrain
✅ Sintered WFO Base – Deeply wax-absorbent, high-density sintered material for a fast, ultra-durable base that stays quick all season
✅ Infinite Ride – Burton overbuilds the board then machine breaks it in before it ships; the flex and pop you ride on day one is the feel you'll have at the end of the season
✅ Super Sap Epoxy – Bio-based resin that reduces carbon footprint by 50% compared to conventional petroleum epoxy
✅ The Channel Mounting System – Compatible with all major bindings; ultimate stance adjustability without the limitations of traditional insert patterns
✅ 3-Year Warranty — Backed by Burton from date of purchase

    Frequently Asked Questions

Custom Camber vs Custom X — what's the real difference?
The Custom Camber and Custom X share the same directional shape, full camber profile, twin flex, and Frostbite Edges — but the core and fiberglass are where they separate. The Custom Camber uses the Super Fly II 700G core with Dualzone EGD and standard 45° Carbon Highlights. The Custom X upgrades to the Dragonfly 600G core — Burton's lightest and strongest — with Multizone EGD for a more precise edge-to-edge feel, and the High Voltage version of the Carbon Highlights for a stiffer, poppier, more aggressive ride overall. In practical terms: the Custom Camber is a lively, responsive, highly capable all-mountain board that suits a wide range of advanced and progressing intermediate riders. The Custom X is a demanding pro-calibre tool that rewards technical precision above all else. Most riders — including very strong ones — are better served by the Custom Camber. Call us on 03 9421 2293 or come in and we'll give you an honest answer based on how you actually ride.

Regular or wide — how do I know which to choose?
Boot size US 10 and under will ride the regular width comfortably. US 10.5 is the grey zone — it depends on your binding setup and stance width. US 11 and above, the 158W, 162W, or 166W is the right call. Wide sizes add 8mm of waist width over the regular equivalents at the same length. Come into the store at 435A Bridge Rd Richmond or call 03 9421 2293 and we can talk through your specific boot and binding combination to make the right call.

How does the Custom Camber ride in Australia — and overseas?
The full camber and Frostbite Edges make this one of the best-performing hard-snow boards in the range — it locks into an edge and holds it confidently on the firm, groomed surfaces that Buller, Falls Creek, and Hotham dish up for most of the season. The Squeezebox profiling delivers genuine pop off every side hit and natural feature on the way down, and the medium-stiff twin flex handles crud and variable snow mid-mountain without bucking. On a powder day at Perisher or Falls Creek, the directional shape floats the nose better than a pure twin, and the camber gives you the drive and energy to keep pushing when the going gets heavy. In Japan, the Dualzone EGD edge hold keeps precision in Niseko's consistently beautiful surface snow, and the twin flex lets you find creative lines through the trees naturally. In Canada, whether you're on Whistler's groomed corduroy or charging steeper terrain in the Rockies, the Custom Camber delivers all-day performance without ever asking you to choose between carving power and versatility.

What ability level is this board best for?
The Custom Camber is rated intermediate to expert and earns that range honestly. The full camber profile is not for beginners — it requires commitment through turns and rewards riders who drive through their edges with intention. But compared to the Custom X, it's meaningfully more forgiving and accessible — the medium-stiff flex (4–7/10 across the size range) bends more readily, initiates turns more easily, and doesn't demand the same level of technical precision at all times. A confident intermediate who is starting to charge runs and explore the whole mountain will find the Custom Camber rewarding and progressive. An expert rider will find it has all the energy and precision they need for demanding riding, without the unforgiving character of the Custom X.

    About Burton
Burton Snowboards was founded by Jake Burton Carpenter in 1977 in Londonderry, Vermont — the company that built snowboarding into the sport it is today. The Custom has been in continuous production since 1996 — the longest-running, most influential snowboard model in the history of the sport. It's built in Burton's own factories using FSC-certified wood cores, Super Sap bio-based epoxy, and a sintered base engineered for speed and durability. Refined for nearly 30 years. Still the standard everything else is measured against.
