Apres and Work - Good Boots

Been running the MTE boots for years lift ops and maintenance, better than Sorrels now that they've got a zip side!

Quality base layer

These Burton base layer pants are the best! Super comfy and a good fit.

Nice sized day pack for short trips and staying light. Can't wait to get up in the mountains to use it.

Fat boy from 12 Boards

I absolutely love the bike and use it nearly everyday.
I’m 67 years old but it’s a bit like going back to having dirt bikes in the mid seventies! Also 12 boards was easy to deal with. A great shop.

Adding another to my collection, best layer for 1st or 2nd layer.

Bent Metal Transfer Men's Snowboard Binding 2026 | Red

Seriously Underrated

These bindings are seriously Underrated, and Bent Metal are now gonna be my go-to bindings for the next few seasons.

I've been riding for 3 decades, and most recently have had Burton Vita's and Cartels, Now's, Joneses, Union Ultras, Nitro Phantoms and Team Pros, Rome Katanas and other stuff I have lost track of.

These Bent Metals have the response and support of a stiffer binding, the dampening to rival my Nitro Phantoms (with that fancy air injected foam and airbag in the heel) and yet are better straps and dampening WITH control, than my Union Ultras - which now, I will be selling.

And they also allow me to move around on board, for when I want to get surfy carvy.

They were not wrong when they said you get dampening AND underfoot feel - with most bindings, you lose one as you gain the other.

You also get the mini disc for microscopic, millimetre perfect stance adjustment.

The straps are super comfy and conform nicely around my boot, crating no pressure points, and the dampening allows my clapped out feet to ride for just that little bit longer, compared to the rest of my binding quiver.

For anyone thinking of these as an outlier potential options to your standard Union Forces or Rome Katanas or Burton Cartels - these are better in many, many ways.

Take the risk, and get yourself a pair!

Vans Verse Range Edition Snowboard Boot 2026 | Walnut

Some boots get you down the mountain. The Verse Range Edition gets you everywhere else too. Built for advanced riders who refuse to be limited by the resort boundary, this is the boot that earns its place in your kit the moment the skin track starts — and pays dividends all the way back down.

The Verse Range Edition is the upgraded, overland-ready version of the Verse, purpose built for those who demand performance in both the resort and the backcountry. Stiff flex, extended range of motion, and a weatherproof construction mean you're covered from the car park to the steepest bootpack on the mountain. Walnut keeps it sharp, rugged, and ready for whatever the range throws at it.

The details are where it earns its keep. The Adaptive Range Mode widens the boot opening for easier hiking and longer strides — disengage the Ride Mode strap and the Rear Drop-Cuff opens up with two-way stretch gore for significantly more calf articulation and less wasted energy on the way up. The BOA® Fit System combined with traditional lacing and the Custom Slide Guide gives you a secure, targeted heel hold and a truly custom fit. A Waterproof Zipper Shroud and D-Ring locks out snow and doubles as a gaiter attachment point, while waterproof breathable valves keep moisture moving away from your feet no matter how long the mission runs.

Inside, the V3 UltraCush™ liner featuring The North Face FlashDry™ materialization, a neoprene forefoot, updated X-cage heel hold, and soft microsuede cuff and tongue wraps your foot in serious comfort. Underfoot, the V3 PopCush™ footbed brings 3D molded anatomical support, TPU arch support, OrthoLite® top layer, and airflow perforations to keep things fresh. The V3 Superenduro Waffle Outsole — inspired by moto endurance racing — delivers multi-directional tread, surface-level texturing, and a TPU toe pick for maximum grip in the snow.

So capable you'll almost look forward to the incline. Almost.

BOA® Fit System with Vans Hybrid Custom Slide Guide
The Verse Range Edition merges the precision of the BOA® Fit System at the instep with traditional lacing and the adjustable flex control of the Custom Slide Guide for a secure, targeted heel hold and a true custom fit. Tighten the BOA® dial for instep lockdown while dialling in flex through the Custom Slide Guide to match your riding style and terrain. The BOA® dial adjusts on the fly with gloves on, and BOA® hardware is covered by a lifetime guarantee.

Vans Flex Control System
High-rebound Hytrel tongue stiffeners give you boot flex adjustability across a 6-9 flex range. As your boots soften up over time, simply add the tongue stiffeners back in to extend the life of your boots and keep the response dialled in exactly where you want it.

Adaptive Range Mode
Widens the opening of your boot for extended range of motion during overland adventures and bootpacks. Disengaging the Ride Mode strap opens the Rear Drop-Cuff and two-way stretch gore, providing significantly more calf articulation for longer strides and less wasted energy on the way up. Re-engage for full riding support on the way down.

V3 UltraCush™ The North Face FlashDry™ Liner
Enhanced with The North Face FlashDry™ materialization to actively move moisture away from your foot, the V3 UltraCush™ liner features a neoprene forefoot for warmth and flexibility, an updated X-cage for superior heel hold, and a soft microsuede cuff and tongue for next-level comfort. Out of the box it already wraps the foot with a broken-in feel.

V3 PopCush™ Footbed
A 3D molded anatomical footbed with TPU arch support heel clip, OrthoLite® top layer, and airflow perforations for breathability. Delivers all-day impact protection and support whether you're lapping the resort or deep in the backcountry.

V3 Superenduro Waffle Outsole
Inspired by moto endurance racing, the V3 Superenduro Waffle Outsole features a multi-directional tread design, surface-level texturing, and a TPU toe pick for maximum traction and snow grip in any conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What size should I order?
Vans snowboard boots run true to size — order your standard US shoe size. Like all snowboard boots, the Verse Range Edition should feel noticeably snug out of the box: toes lightly brushing the front of the liner when standing upright, heel sitting down with minimal lift. That's the correct fit — not too small. Once you bend your knees into a riding stance, your heel drops and toes pull back from the front of the liner, and the boot wraps your foot properly. A boot that feels comfortable standing in a shop will be sloppy on the mountain within an hour. If you're between sizes, the half size down is usually the right call. Our full boot fit guide is at twelveboardstore.com.au/pages/snowboard-boots-how-to-choose-and-fit-guide, or call us on 03 9421 2293 and we'll help.

Is the Verse Range Edition right for me?
The Verse Range Edition is built for advanced riders who want a single boot that performs at the resort and beyond the boundary. The 6-9 adjustable flex makes it stiff enough to charge hard groomers, handle variable snow, and hold its own on steep backcountry terrain — while the Adaptive Range Mode means it's not a suffer-fest on the bootpack either. If you're an intermediate rider still building confidence, this probably isn't the boot for you yet — look at something in the 4-6 flex range. If you're an advanced rider who wants to explore the sidecountry and backcountry without compromising resort performance, this is exactly what it was built for. Call us on 03 9421 2293 and we'll give you an honest steer.

How does the Adaptive Range Mode work?
Disengage the Ride Mode strap and the Rear Drop-Cuff opens up along with two-way stretch gore in the upper, giving your calf significantly more articulation for uphill travel. This means longer, more natural strides and less energy wasted on the ascent. When you reach your drop-in point, re-engage the Ride Mode strap to lock the boot back into full riding mode for the descent.

How does the Vans Flex Control System work?
The Flex Control System uses high-rebound Hytrel tongue stiffeners that insert into the boot tongue to increase and maintain flex stiffness. As boots naturally soften over time with use, you can add the stiffeners back in to restore response and extend the functional life of your boots. It also means you can adjust the flex feel across the 6-9 range to suit different terrain or riding styles.

What if I get the wrong size or the fit isn't right?
Reach out before you do anything else — call us on 03 9421 2293 or email info@twelveboardstore.com.au. With the BOA® Fit System and adjustable flex control, many apparent fit issues can be resolved through zone-specific adjustments. If the boot genuinely isn't right for your foot, we'll swap it. Boots must be unworn outside — lodge floors and carpet only — and returned in original condition.

About Snowboard Boots — Buying Guide

Snowboard boots are the most important part of your setup. They connect you to your board, affect your control, comfort, warmth and how much energy you burn across a full day on the hill. Getting the fit right is everything — a boot that fits correctly makes riding easier from your first run. A boot that doesn't will ruin your day regardless of how good the board underneath it is. At Twelve Board Store we fit hundreds of riders every season across brands including Vans, Burton, K2, Ride, ThirtyTwo and DC. Every boot in our range has been ridden and assessed by our team. We only stock boots we'd recommend to our own crew.

Getting your size right online: Measure your foot in centimetres while standing with full weight — this is your Mondo size, the most accurate way to find your boot size. Snowboard boots use US sizing. 25cm = US7, 26cm = US8, 27cm = US9, 28cm = US10, 29cm = US11, 30cm = US12. Boots should feel snug straight out of the box — toes grazing the end when standing, lifting slightly when knees bend forward. A boot that feels comfortable in your lounge room is too big for the mountain.

Volume matters as much as length: Low volume boots suit narrow, low-arch feet. High volume suits wide feet or high arches. Getting volume wrong causes pressure and pain regardless of length. If you're between sizes or have a wide foot, contact us before you buy — we'll point you to the right boot.

Flex rating: Soft (1–4) for beginners, park riders and those who want a surfy, forgiving feel. Medium (5–7) for all-mountain versatility. Stiff (8–10) for aggressive freeride, carving and riders who want direct response and maximum support.

Closure systems: Traditional lace is still the most popular — micro-adjustable, direct feel, lower price point. BOA® dial gives you one-hand precision tightening with gloves on, fast on/off between runs. Hybrid BOA combines lace at the foot with a dial at the instep for zone-by-zone control. Speed lace is faster than traditional lace and lighter than BOA.

Wrong size? We'll swap it. Not sure? Call us on 03 9421 2293 or chat online — our team will give you a straight answer based on your foot shape, riding style and where you're planning to ride. If you're in Melbourne, come in and try them on at 435A Bridge Road Richmond. We heat mould liners in-store — no appointment needed.
