The inverted kingpin flips the conventional design so the threads sit inside the hanger rather than protruding above it, removing the snag point that causes hangups on slappy feebles, back smiths, hurricanes, and any trick that dips the hanger close to the surface. Paired with a hollow axle, hollow kingpin, shorter top bushing, and forged baseplate, the result is a truck that is lighter, stronger, and more grind-friendly than anything a conventional setup can offer. Slappy Trucks was founded during the pandemic by Mike Sinclair — a longtime skate industry veteran who had managed teams at Nike SB, Foundation, and Toy Machine — after two-plus years of garage R&D, experimenting with every component of a truck to chase maximum grind clearance without compromising turn. He sold his car to cover the cost of the moulds. The ST1 Inverted Hollow Lights are the product of that obsession: approximately 9mm of kingpin clearance and a 20° slappy angle — well above the industry average — with no break-in time, less wheel bite, and the quickest turn in the range. At 9.0", these fit decks from 8.8" to 9.25" and come in polished silver finish. Sold as a pair.
