ProTec Snow Wrist Guards | Black
Slim snowboard wrist guards that disappear under your gloves.
Pro-Tec calls these the Undercover Snow Wrist Guards, and the name fits. Pro-Tec points out that wrist injuries are among the most common in snowboarding, so these give you real protection while staying thin enough to wear under most snow gloves. They're ideal for beginners and anyone spending time in the park.
The body is perforated neoprene for airflow, with removable top and bottom splints to support the wrist. A wide elastic strap locks them in and a pull-on loop makes them quick to get on, even with cold hands.

Size Guide
Pro-Tec sizes the Undercover Snow Wrist Guards on hand circumference. Wrap a soft tape around your hand at the knuckles (not including the thumb) and match it to the chart. Pro-Tec recommends sizing up if you're between sizes or unsure, as riders tend to do better with the larger size. Pro-Tec's chart is in inches; we've converted to cm.
| Size | Hand circumference at knuckles | Inches |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 15–18cm | 6–7" |
| S | 18–20cm | 7–8" |
| M | 20–23cm | 8–9" |
| L | 23–25cm | 9–10" |
| XL | 25–28cm | 10–11" |
Try them on with your snow gloves if you can. They should feel firm around the wrist without making your gloves tight.
About Pro-Tec
Pro-Tec has been protecting skaters since 1973 and is one of the most recognisable names in skate and BMX protection. Its Street pads have been around for decades and are still the pad most skaters picture when they think of knee and elbow pads. Pro-Tec says its Street elbow is the pad used by Bucky Lasek, Christian Hosoi and Lincoln Ueda, and its team list runs from Steve Caballero and Steve Alba to Sakura Yosozumi and Australia's own Poppy Starr Olsen, with snowboard legend Todd Richards on the snow side.
Today Pro-Tec is known for no-fuss protection that does the job: tough nylon outers, plastic caps and EVA foam on the Street range, heavier ballistic builds with replaceable caps on the Vert range, and slim neoprene wrist guards for snowboarding. Riders choose Pro-Tec because it fits well, lasts and has been part of skate culture for over 50 years.
FAQs
What size Pro-Tec Snow Wrist Guards should I get?
Measure around your hand at the knuckles and match it to the chart, from XS 15–18cm to XL 25–28cm. Pro-Tec recommends going up a size if you're between sizes or unsure.
Can I wear these wrist guards under my snow gloves?
Yes, that's what they're made for. The slim perforated neoprene body fits under most snow gloves. Try them on with your gloves if you can.
Do I need wrist guards for snowboarding?
They're worth it, especially when you're learning. Beginners put their hands out a lot when they catch an edge, and Pro-Tec notes wrist injuries are among the most common in snowboarding. The splints support the joint and help reduce the impact.
Can I take the splints out?
Yes. The top and bottom splints are removable, which makes the guards easier to wash and dry.
How do I wash the Snow Wrist Guards?
Pro-Tec doesn't publish care instructions. Take the splints out, hand wash the neoprene in cool water with mild soap and air dry away from heaters and fires.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
