The Impala Neptune is Impala's surf skate cruiser: a 30" board that lets you pump for speed and carve down the street like you're on a wave. It's a fun, approachable pick for surfers training on land and anyone who wants a flowy, surf-style ride. This version features artwork by tattooist Char Bataille.

The deck is Resin-7 hard rock maple with a mellow concave and a kicktail. Up front, a Slant surf truck moves with you so you can pump or simply cruise, with stoneground 65mm 83a conical wheels and ABEC-7 Impala Shield bearings. Neon ink graphics with raised details and die-cut black grip finish it off.

What is the Impala Neptune best for?
Pumping and surf-style carving. The moving front truck lets you generate speed without pushing and carve tight turns, so it's great for beach paths, smooth footpaths and skatepark flow. It also cruises comfortably when you just want to roll.

Is a 30" surfskate the right size for me?
For most teens and adults, yes. It measures 29.5" long and a roomy 9.75" wide, which gives a comfortable surf stance while staying quick to turn. Taller riders or anyone wanting more stability may prefer a 31" to 33" surf skate, while kids and very light riders often suit 28" or shorter.

Is the Neptune good for beginners?
Yes. It's an approachable surf skate with a stable 16" wheelbase and a wide deck. The front truck feels loose at first, so start on flat, smooth ground and practise carving before you try pumping. Most riders find their rhythm within a session or two.

What is a surfskate?
A surfskate is a skateboard with a front truck that turns and pivots much further than a normal truck, so you can pump for speed and carve like on a wave. The Neptune uses Slant surf/skate trucks, the same front truck system found on Globe's surf skates, which moves with the board so you can pump or just cruise. Surfers use them to train timing and turns on land.

Can I commute on the Neptune?
Yes, for short trips around the neighbourhood or to the beach. Once you can pump, you'll cover flat ground with little pushing. The 83a wheels are a little firmer than typical cruiser wheels, so you'll feel rough footpaths more, and surf skates feel looser at speed, so for long commutes a cruiser or longboard is more efficient.

Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
