I've had my new Pint-S now for a week and put about 11 klms on it so far due to a fair bit of rain. The battery is now at 62% and top speed of 16kph as I find 12-15 very comfortable and have no intention of hurting myself any sooner than I have to.
The treaded tire gives more confidence for sure off of the pavement which I do about 50%.
I like the curved foot pads as I like a wide stance and my feet feel more planted than on the Pint. The Fender is also almost a must for me now that I see the difference of gravel and dirt not covering the footpads anymore.
Twelveboard store was very helpful and friendly with the purchase as well.

Dakine is based in Hood River, Oregon, at the base of Mt Hood, where snowboarders train through the summer, and its Heli Pack began as a favour for one of them. We stock Dakine packs, gloves, mitts, board bags and tuning tools in our Richmond store.

The Heli Pack started when a snowboarder came off Mt Hood and asked Dakine for an essentials only pack for his heli trips to Alaska. Dakine built him one with everything he wanted and nothing more, and it became one of its best known designs.

The Heli 2.0 Pro carries that idea forward with a RECCO reflector, vertical or horizontal snowboard carry, a large fleece lined goggle pocket and a pocket for your snow tools. The S version has a shorter fit for shorter torsos.

GORE-TEXAND LEATHER

Most of the Dakine gloves and mitts on our wall are GORE-TEX, in men's and women's cuts and in both glove and mitt styles.

The Fillmore GORE-TEX Short is a good example: a GORE-TEX insert, a goat leather palm, Hi Loft recycled insulation and a fleece liner, with a short cuff that tucks under your jacket sleeve, a removable wrist leash and touchscreen compatibility.

DAKINE FAQS

How do I find my Dakine glove size?
Use our Dakine glove size guide to match your hand to a size. Gloves like the Fillmore run from S to 2XL. If you're between sizes, come in and try a few on, or call us on 03 9421 2293.
Should I get gloves or mitts?
Mitts keep your fingers together, so they tend to run warmer. Gloves give you more dexterity for straps, zips and your phone. Our buying guide goes through the options.
How do I wash my Dakine gloves?
Dakine says its non leather gloves can be machine washed. Gently press out the excess water and hang them to dry, without turning them inside out, and keep them away from heaters and dryers. For gloves with leather, like the Fillmore and Leather Titan, follow the care label or ask us.
What size board bag do I need?
Dakine sizes the Low Roller by maximum board length: 157cm, 165cm or 175cm. Pick the size that covers your longest board. It takes two boards, one with bindings mounted, plus a pair of boots and your outerwear. Bring your board in and we'll check the fit.
Which Dakine packs have RECCO?
The Heli 2.0 Pro packs have RECCO technology, which makes you searchable by organised rescue teams using RECCO detectors if you're caught in an avalanche or lost.
Can I pick up in store or return it?
Yes, you can pick up from our Richmond store. For returns and exchanges, everything you need is in our returns policy.
