The Real Story
Real was founded in 1991 by Jim Thiebaud and Tommy Guerrero under San Francisco's Deluxe Distribution — the same house as Spitfire, Thunder and Krooked. From the start it was a skater-owned, skater-run brand built on authenticity, and it's stayed that way. The team — across generations from Dennis Busenitz to Ishod Wair — is among the most respected in skating, and Real has long backed progressive causes and grassroots skating. It's a brand with genuine substance behind the graphics.
