Thermals are the layer closest to your skin and the most important for keeping you warm and dry on the mountain. A good thermal wicks moisture away from your body so sweat doesn't sit against your skin and chill you. A bad one gets wet and stays wet.

We stock men's snow thermals from Mons Royale, Burton, Airblaster and others in merino and synthetic constructions. Merino regulates temperature better and resists odour — worth the extra spend if you're riding multiple days in a row. Synthetic is lighter and dries faster.
