A brand that has become synonymous with skateboarding.
Started in 1966 as the Van Doren Rubber Company, a factory that sold shoes direct to the public at an affordable and accessible price. Skateboarders quickly took note of the low price and super sticky rubber soles and by the mid-70s Vans was known by every Southern-Califorian skater. Through the 80s Vans became the number one skating shoes releasing numerous new models and their first signature pro-model shoes(for Steve Caballero). If you want skate shoes, you can’t go wrong with Vans.
Completely redesigned with skaters in mind, the all-new Skate Classics line delivers more of what skaters need to enable maximum progression. Made with a fully revised upper, molded heel counter, locked-in tongue straps, and a recut of the DURACAP™ underlay, the Skate Classics Old Skool offers an essential fit that is more breathable and durable where skaters need it most. The two-part foxing, featuring a tougher toe knurl, ensures heightened board contact, and the redesigned gum rubber sole that made Vans famous has been further elevated with the SICKSTICK™ rubber compound plus an internal heel shank to deliver more grip, more boardfeel, more support, and more durability. Along with a new sidewall finish, POPCUSH™ sockliners for superior cushioning and impact protection, and a sleek checkerboard flag, the new Skate Classics Old Skool gives you the iconic look you want—with all the performance benefits that real skaters demand. It is made with sturdy suede and canvas uppers.
Key Features: Suede & Canvas Upper, Double layer Foxing, Tongue Liners, SICKSTICK Sole, POPCUSH Innersole, Rubber Underlay Under Suede In High Wear Areas.
How To Find The Right Size
1. Measure Your Feet
-
Stand on a piece of paper wearing your skate socks.
-
Trace around your foot, then measure:
-
Length: Heel to longest toe (in cm)
-
Width: Widest part of the foot
-
-
Always measure both feet — use the bigger measurement if they’re different!
🔎 Tip: Use the CM (Mondopoint) size chart for the most accurate fit.
2. Know Your True Size
-
Skate shoes usually fit close to your regular street shoe size.
-
Some brands (like Vans) fit snugger; others (like Nike SB) fit slightly wider.
-
If you’re between sizes, most skaters size down a half-size for a tighter, more controlled fit once they break in.
3. How Should Skate Shoes Fit?
✅ Snug but not crushing — toes should lightly brush the front
✅ No major heel lift when walking or flicking
✅ Foot held securely for maximum board feel and control
✅ Minimal extra space to avoid slipping inside the shoe
🔎 Remember: Skate shoes break in and soften slightly after a few sessions.
