The Bumsaver is Triple Eight's classic padded short, protecting your rear, hips and thighs. It is made to wear discreetly under your clothes, so it suits roller skaters and derby skaters, skateboarders learning in the bowl, beginners and snowboarders who spend time sitting down hard.

Shock-absorbing EVA foam pads cover the hip and tailbone areas and the thighs. The body is a soft, lightweight, breathable mesh with a form-fitting cut for flexibility and comfort. The pads are removable, so the shorts are easy to wash.

Size Guide

Measure the circumference of your waist, just above the hips. If you are between sizes or unsure, Triple 8 strongly recommends sizing up to the larger size.

Triple 8's Fit Guide lists the Bumsaver junior size at 22–27in, the same range as XS. Wear it snug so the pads stay over your hips and tailbone.

What size Bumsaver should I get?
Measure your waist just above the hips: XS is 56–69cm, S 66–76cm, M 74–84cm, L 81–97cm and XL 91–107cm. Triple 8 recommends sizing up if you are between sizes.

Can I wear the Bumsaver under pants?
Yes. It is designed to wear discreetly under your clothes, from skate pants and leggings to snow pants.

How do I wash the Bumsaver?
Take the EVA pads out first, as they are removable for easy washing. Wash the mesh shorts gently and air dry, then refit the pads once everything is dry.

Bumsaver or Bumsaver 2?
The Bumsaver is the original mesh short with removable EVA pads. The Bumsaver 2 is the upgrade with Dual Zone foam and gapless coverage of the hip, sit bone and tailbone in a slimmer profile. Go for the 2 if you fall a lot or want more coverage.

Is the Bumsaver good for snowboarding?
Yes. Plenty of beginner snowboarders wear padded shorts under their snow pants for those first days of catching edges and sitting down hard on the tailbone.
