Shorty's Dooks Riser Pads | 1/2"
Half an inch of lift for big wheels, old or new school.
Shorty's Dooks 1/2" Riser Pads give big cruiser and old-school wheels the clearance they need. They suit skaters running wheels around 60mm and up, or very loose trucks.
They have a double hole pattern, so they fit both old-school and new-school boards and trucks, plus a kingpin cut-out for stubborn kingpins that won't sit flush. The size and logo are moulded into the top and side, so you can always tell what's under your trucks.

About Shorty's
Shorty's is a California hardware brand, founded in 1991 by Tony Buyalos and April Hamrick around one simple idea: deck bolts that are the right length. It later ran a deck program with a team that included Chad Muska and Peter Smolik, before stepping back from decks in 2006 to focus on hardware.
Today Shorty's is best known for its deck bolts and bushings. Its bolts are half threaded to resist bending and snapping, and they use a smaller countersinking head that puts less stress on your deck. It is simple hardware done properly, which is why so many shops and skaters keep a set in the bag.
FAQs
Do I need 1/2" risers?
If you're running big cruiser or old-school wheels, around 60mm and up, or very loose trucks, yes. Smaller wheels usually only need 1/8" to 1/4".
What length bolts do I need?
With 1/2" risers, run 1.5" to 2" bolts. As a general guide, without risers 7/8" or 1" suits most decks; with 1/8" risers go 1" to 1.25"; with 1/4" risers 1.25" to 1.5"; and with 1/2" risers 1.5" to 2". Go to the longer end on thicker decks. You want the nut fully on the thread with a little bolt showing, but not so long it sticks up through the baseplate.
Allen vs Phillips bolts, which should I use?
Either works with these risers. Allen (hex) bolts are easier to tighten without stripping the head, while Phillips heads are the classic option and use the screwdriver on most skate tools. Pick whichever matches the tool you carry.
Will they fit my old-school board?
Yes. The double hole pattern lines up with both old-school and new-school deck and truck patterns.
How many in a pack?
Two, one for each truck.

Let customers speak for us
Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
