Shorty's Bolts Allen 1
Classic Shorty's Allen bolts in the standard 1" length.
Shorty's 1" Allen hardware is the go-to bolt set for a standard skateboard with no risers. It mounts one set of trucks to one deck, and it's the length most street and park setups use.
Shorty's bolts are half threaded, which makes them stronger against bending and breaking, and they use a smaller countersinking head that sits neatly in your deck and puts less stress on the wood. The Allen head grips the key firmly, so you can crank them tight without stripping.

About Shorty's
Shorty's is a California hardware brand, founded in 1991 by Tony Buyalos and April Hamrick around one simple idea: deck bolts that are the right length. It later ran a deck program with a team that included Chad Muska and Peter Smolik, before stepping back from decks in 2006 to focus on hardware.
Today Shorty's is best known for its deck bolts and bushings. Its bolts are half threaded to resist bending and snapping, and they use a smaller countersinking head that puts less stress on your deck. It is simple hardware done properly, which is why so many shops and skaters keep a set in the bag.
FAQs
What length bolts do I need?
For a standard deck with no risers, 7/8" or 1" is right. Add 1/8" risers and go to 1.25". Bigger risers or thick decks need 1.5" or longer. You want the bolt to come through the nut fully without sticking out far past it.
Allen or Phillips bolts?
Allen bolts use a hex key, which grips better and is less likely to strip, and most skate tools have one built in. Phillips bolts use a screwdriver, which is easy to find anywhere. This set is Allen.
How many bolts are in a pack? Is it enough for one board?
Yes. You get 8 bolts and 8 nuts, which is exactly what you need to mount two trucks (four bolts each) to one deck.
Why are Shorty's bolts half threaded?
Leaving the top half of the shaft smooth makes the bolt stronger, so it's less likely to bend or snap when you land hard.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
