Knox's shape. Foil fire. A late-80s legend back in circulation.
The Santa Cruz Tom Knox Firepit Foil Reissue Deck brings back one of the defining boards of the late 1980s street skating explosion — the same shape Tom Knox was riding in the Speed Freaks video, now wearing a never-before-reissued colourway of neon and metallic artwork over a silver kaleidoscope-to-black fade foil. It's as raw and unmistakable as Knox himself, and it carries the same energy today that made it iconic the first time around. A 2025 Reissue laser-engraved decktop logo marks its return for a new generation.
Built on Tom's original 10" OG reissue shape with a 15" wheelbase, the deck is pressed from 7-ply North American maple using epoxy resin — strong, responsive, and built for skating, not just display. The Old School concave delivers a comfortable side-to-side contour with a continuous tail kick that feels at home in bowls, pools, cruising the streets, or any terrain Knox himself would have attacked without hesitation. Tom Knox turned pro for Santa Cruz in the late 1980s, was the first skater to ever land a kickflip wallride, and was inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame in 2024. This is his board. Skate it accordingly.

About Santa Cruz Skateboards
Santa Cruz Skateboards was established in 1973 by Richard Novak, Doug Haut, and Jay Shuirman, who founded NHS Inc. in Santa Cruz, California. One of the true originals, Santa Cruz didn't just survive the shifting tides of skateboarding — it helped shape them, building a legacy across street, park, vert, and everything in between. In 2023, NHS celebrated its 50th anniversary — a milestone few brands in any action sport can match. Tom Knox was one of the brand's most important street skating voices of the late 1980s — a Skateboarding Hall of Fame inductee, credited with the first kickflip wallride in history, and still skating decades after his pro debut. The Firepit reissue is his legacy on a board.
