ProTec Street Wrist Guard | Black
Splinted wrist support for the falls every skater takes.
Put a hand out when you fall and your wrists take the hit. The Pro-Tec Street Wrist Guard is built for exactly that, with support for beginners through to experienced skaters. It suits street, park, cruising, rollerskating, scooters and e-skate or Onewheel riding.
Ergonomic splints support the wrist and help absorb the impact in a fall, and breathable materials manage airflow and moisture on long, hot sessions. The body is abrasion-resistant nylon and Lycra, and three hook-and-loop straps let you set a secure, custom fit.

Size Guide
Pro-Tec sizes the Street Wrist Guard on wrist circumference. Wrap a soft tape around your wrist and match it to the chart. Pro-Tec's chart is in inches; we've converted to cm.
| Size | Wrist circumference | Inches |
|---|---|---|
| Youth | 13–15cm | 5–6" |
| S | 17–19cm | 6.5–7.5" |
| M | 19–22cm | 7.5–8.5" |
| L | 20–23cm | 8–9" |
M and L overlap at 20–22cm. If you're in the overlap, a bigger hand usually suits the L. The straps should close firmly without cutting off circulation.
About Pro-Tec
Pro-Tec has been protecting skaters since 1973 and is one of the most recognisable names in skate and BMX protection. Its Street pads have been around for decades and are still the pad most skaters picture when they think of knee and elbow pads. Pro-Tec says its Street elbow is the pad used by Bucky Lasek, Christian Hosoi and Lincoln Ueda, and its team list runs from Steve Caballero and Steve Alba to Sakura Yosozumi and Australia's own Poppy Starr Olsen, with snowboard legend Todd Richards on the snow side.
Today Pro-Tec is known for no-fuss protection that does the job: tough nylon outers, plastic caps and EVA foam on the Street range, heavier ballistic builds with replaceable caps on the Vert range, and slim neoprene wrist guards for snowboarding. Riders choose Pro-Tec because it fits well, lasts and has been part of skate culture for over 50 years.
FAQs
What size Pro-Tec Street Wrist Guard should I get?
Measure around your wrist with a soft tape and match it to the chart: Youth 13–15cm, S 17–19cm, M 19–22cm, L 20–23cm. The guard should sit snug with the splint lined up along your palm and wrist.
Are wrist guards worth it for skating?
Yes, especially when you're learning. Your hands and wrists often take the hit when you fall, and a splinted guard supports the joint and absorbs some of the impact. They're also popular with e-skate and Onewheel riders.
How do I wash the Street Wrist Guards?
Pro-Tec doesn't publish care instructions, so hand wash in cool water with mild soap and air dry out of the sun. Fasten the hook-and-loop straps first so they don't snag on anything.
Can kids wear these?
Yes. The Youth size fits wrists around 13–15cm. For a full kids set with knees and elbows, check out the Pro-Tec Street Gear Jr 3 Pack.

Let customers speak for us
Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
