Bold graphic. Serious construction. Built to outlast the session.
The Opera Spike EX7 Skateboard Deck in Black is the no-nonsense entry in Opera's lineup — a clean, blacked-out Spike graphic over Opera's signature EX7 construction. It's built for skaters who want serious pop and durability without paying for a pro-model price tag, in a true all-rounder 8.5" size that works for street, park, or just rolling around.
Pressed individually from 7-ply North American maple with epoxy glue, the EX7 construction is engineered to outlast a standard 7-ply deck, holding its pop and shape for longer under repeated impact. A medium concave with medium kick on nose and tail gives a balanced, locked-in feel underfoot, while grip grooves and inner wheel wells add extra control and wheelbite clearance.

About Opera Skateboards
Opera Skateboards launched in 2023, founded by industry veteran Bill Weiss after the collapse of Dwindle Distribution — the longtime home of Madness, where Weiss had led the team. Weiss teamed up with Louie Barletta, Bod Boyle, and Steve Douglas to build Sidewalk Distribution, the umbrella that houses Opera alongside Slappy Trucks and Jacuzzi Unlimited. The name "Opera" reflects Weiss's view of skateboarding as a performance of one — personal and communal at once. The brand has quickly built a roster spanning street, transition, and vert, with riders like Clay Kreiner, Jack Fardell, Sam Beckett, Trey Wood, Kieran Woolley, and Alex Perelson, all riding decks built on Opera's signature EX7 construction.
