Impala Adult Protective Pack | Vintage
Impala's three-piece pad set, in the Vintage colourway.
The Impala Adult Protective Pack is the easy way to get covered: knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards, one pair of each, in Impala's Vintage colourway. It's made for roller skaters first, and it works just as well for learning to skateboard or cruising the footpath.
Each pad has a hard cap over the impact zone, a comfy Lycra backing that breathes, and wide Velcro straps for a secure fit. The pads have a medium flex, so they move with you while you learn. Sizes run S, M, L and XL on one chart for the whole set.
Key Features
- Three-piece set: knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards, one pair each
- Hard caps: durable caps over the knee, elbow and wrist impact zones
- Lycra backing: comfy and breathable on long sessions
- Wide Velcro straps: quick to adjust and secure once they're on
- Medium flex: a medium-flex build that suits learners

- Knee pads: 1 pair, hard cap with Lycra backing and Velcro straps
- Elbow pads: 1 pair, hard cap with Lycra backing and Velcro straps
- Wrist guards: 1 pair, Velcro straps
The whole set comes in one size. Check all three measurements against the chart, and if they land in different sizes, go with the bigger one, since the straps tighten down.
Size Guide
Impala sizes its pads with a single chart for every colourway. Use a soft tape (or a piece of string and a ruler) to measure around your elbow, your knee and your wrist at the points shown on Impala's diagram (the wrist guard has two points, A and B). Pick the size closest to your measurements. If you're between sizes, Impala recommends going up a size, because you can always tighten the straps.
| Size | Elbow | Knee | Wrist A | Wrist B |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 26cm | 31cm | 20cm | 18.5cm |
| M | 27cm | 32.5cm | 23.5cm | 22cm |
| L | 28cm | 36cm | 25cm | 24cm |
| XL | 33cm | 50cm (A) / 46cm (B) | 25cm | 24cm |
One size covers all three pads in the set. Impala's measurements are in cm only. For kids, Impala makes a separate Youth Protective Pack in YS and YM. Impala notes its chart lists product measurements, so compare them with your own.
About Impala
Impala launched in Melbourne in 2017 and still has its head office here, as part of the Globe International family. Its line is simple: Impala is for everyone. It has grown into a worldwide community of roller skaters, with gear sold across Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, Europe and Asia.
Impala is known for bright, retro colourways and an inclusive, positive vibe for skaters of every level. Its skates are vegan-friendly, it plants three trees for every tree harvested for its skateboards through the National Forest Foundation, and it backs causes like Sea Shepherd and Boarding for Breast Cancer. Collabs with Mattel's Barbie brand show how far that playful look has travelled.
FAQs
What size Impala Adult Protective Pack should I get?
Measure around your elbow, knee and wrist and match them to Impala's chart, from S (31cm knee) to XL (50cm knee). If you're between sizes, Impala says go up a size, because the Velcro straps tighten. The whole set comes in one size, so go by your biggest measurement.
What's in the Impala Adult Protective Pack?
One pair each of knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards, so six pieces in total. That covers the three spots you're most likely to land on when you're learning.
Is the Impala pack good for roller skating and skateboarding?
Yes. Impala designed it for roller skaters, and it suits beginner skateboarding and cruising too. For big vert or bowl sessions, a dedicated hard cap knee pad with more padding is a better pick.
Is there a kids version?
Yes. Impala makes a Youth Protective Pack in YS and YM on its own youth chart. The adult pack starts at S, which suits a 31cm knee.
How do I care for my Impala pads?
Air them out after every session and let them dry fully before you pack them away. Impala doesn't publish washing instructions for this set, so hand wash gently with mild soap if needed and keep them out of the dryer.

Let customers speak for us
Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
