The Globe Prowler Mid in Sunstone is a cut-down take on the classic Prowler, trimmed to 34.75" with a wider tail and less tapered outline. You keep the low, steady feel of a drop-through longboard but lose the bulk, so it's easier to steer, carry and store. It's a strong pick for teens and adults who want one longboard for commuting, cruising and the odd gentle hill.

It's built from Resin-8 hard rock maple, eight plies bonded with epoxy for a firm, durable deck. The rockered profile and slight W concave cradle your feet and lower your stance, while the drop-through truck mount brings the deck closer to the ground for easier pushing. Slant 180mm reverse kingpin trucks and 70mm 78a Globe Conical Cruiser wheels give it smooth, controlled turns and a cushioned roll over rough surfaces.

About Globe

Globe is a Melbourne skate brand through and through. Brothers Peter, Stephen and Matt Hill grew up skating in Melbourne, and in 1985 they started importing skateboards out of Fitzroy, a business that became Hardcore Enterprises. The Globe brand itself was born in 1994, starting with skate shoes. The company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2001, moved into its Port Melbourne headquarters, and launched its own line of skateboards, cruisers and longboards in 2010.

Today Globe is still led by the Hill family, with Matt Hill as CEO, and still based in Port Melbourne. It makes its decks and trucks in its own factory.
