This pair of 273-3M timing belts is the direct replacement drive belt for the Summerboard SBX2. The belts transfer power from each motor to the wheels, so every drift, spin and hill climb runs through them. Over time belts stretch, wear their teeth down or crack, and when that happens you'll feel slipping, skipping or a loss of power.
Swap in a fresh pair and your board gets its full punch back. They're also worth keeping as spares: a snapped belt mid-session is one of the most common ways an e-board ends a ride early, and a spare pair gets you rolling again fast.

FAQs
How do I know my belts need replacing?
Signs include slipping or skipping under acceleration, clicking from the drive, a loss of power on hills, or visible wear such as worn teeth, cracking, fraying or a stretched belt. If one belt is worn, replacing both keeps the drive balanced.
Will these fit my Summerboard?
They fit Summerboard V2 models (SB2 and SBX2) shipped after September 2024. If you have an earlier board, check the code printed on your existing belt. If it reads 273-3M, these are the right ones. If you're unsure, send us a photo and we'll confirm.
Can I replace them myself?
Yes, with basic tools. It's usually a matter of removing the wheel, loosening the motor mount to release the tension, swapping the belt and re-tensioning. Getting the tension right is key: too loose and it skips, too tight and it wears fast. If you'd rather we do it, our electric workshop can swap them for you.
Why are they sold as a pair?
The SBX2 runs dual motors with one belt each. Replacing both at once keeps the power delivery even and saves you doing the job twice.

I've had my new Pint-S now for a week and put about 11 klms on it so far due to a fair bit of rain. The battery is now at 62% and top speed of 16kph as I find 12-15 very comfortable and have no intention of hurting myself any sooner than I have to.
The treaded tire gives more confidence for sure off of the pavement which I do about 50%.
I like the curved foot pads as I like a wide stance and my feet feel more planted than on the Pint. The Fender is also almost a must for me now that I see the difference of gravel and dirt not covering the footpads anymore.
Twelveboard store was very helpful and friendly with the purchase as well.
