About Forum
Forum was founded in 1996 by pro rider Peter Line and Four Star Distribution, and quickly became one of the most influential brands in snowboarding history. Its team — known as the Forum 8 and featuring riders like JP Walker, Jeremy Jones, Bjorn Leines and Devun Walsh — starred in Mack Dawg Productions' "The Resistance," a film widely regarded as one of the most important snowboard videos ever made. Forum wasn't just a board brand; it helped set the tone for an entire era of freestyle snowboarding.
Burton bought Forum in 2004 to keep it in snowboarders' hands, but ultimately wound the brand down in 2012 after it struggled to turn a profit. Forum sat dormant for a decade before relaunching independently in 2022, with original Forum 8 rider Peter Line back on board alongside Jeremy Jones and filmmaker Mike MacIntyre. The new Forum is a lean, snowboarding-only operation — no pro models yet, just a small, considered range built with the same rider-first mentality the brand was known for the first time around.
The Forum Snowboard Range
Forum's relaunched lineup is deliberately small — two boards covering park and all-mountain freeride — both built at the same Capita Mothership factory that produces Capita's own line.
- Production 001 — a classic twin park shape with a mild camber profile, tuned for pop and edge hold on jumps, rails and everyday park laps. The result of decades of park riding and board design experience distilled into one no-gimmicks shape.
- Production 002 — a directional twin built for all-mountain freeride. A medium-plus flex and directional insert pack let you dial in your stance within the sidecut, with a camber profile that holds an edge on groomers while still floating through powder.
