The DGK story

DGK was founded by pro skater Stevie Williams, taking its name, Dirty Ghetto Kids, from the come-up of skaters who did not fit the mould. It grew into a brand that fused skating with street culture, music and fashion while staying rooted in real skating. DGK speaks to a generation of skaters who saw themselves in its story, and the brand has built a deep team and a strong cultural footprint well beyond just decks.

What size DGK deck should you get?

Deck width follows shoe size and skating style more than height. Around 8.0 to 8.25 inch is the versatile all-round range for street and park; wider (8.25 and up) suits transition, bowl and larger riders; narrower suits younger or smaller skaters doing technical street. DGK also does completes if you want a ready-to-ride setup. Tell us your shoe size and how you skate and we will match the right width.

Are DGK boards good for beginners?

Yes. DGK decks are quality 7-ply maple at a fair price, so a beginner gets a genuine skate-brand board with good pop and the graphics that made the brand, rather than a toy-shop board. We can set one up as a complete with the right trucks and wheels for your size.
