Slappy ST1 Hollow Wide Boy Pair | 11
Slappy grind clearance for 11" pool and bowl decks.
The Slappy ST1 Hollow Wide Boy 11" is Slappy's grind-first truck built wide for big decks, sold as a pair. It's for pool, bowl and old-school riders on 10.875" to 11.125" boards who want stability on transition and a kingpin that stays out of the way on coping.
The Wide Boys use a hollow kingpin with a solid axle, which keeps the long axle strong while trimming weight to 458g per truck. The 212.5mm hanger sits at Slappy's standard 53.9mm height, turns quickly with no break-in time, and gives a planted, confident feel when you're carving big walls.

What Size Board Does It Fit?
Slappy names every ST1 by the deck width it fits, so an 8.5 truck goes on an 8.5" deck. Aim to be within about 1/8" either side; up to about 1/4" still works if you like your wheels a touch in or out from the edge.

About Slappy Trucks
Slappy Trucks is the work of Mike Sinclair, one of skateboarding's best known team managers, with years spent running teams for Tum Yeto brands Toy Machine and Foundation and for Nike SB. When the world locked down during the pandemic, Sinclair started pulling his trucks apart in his garage. In his words, it was either trucks or learn Japanese. Sampling ran for more than two years before he announced Slappy in late 2022, independent and run out of his garage.
Every ST1 is built around one idea: the best grind clearance possible without giving up a good turn. Slappy publishes its own grind clearance and slappy angle figures, and its inverted kingpin models push them furthest. Slappy also sells its parts one at a time, so a worn piece can be replaced without buying a whole new truck. Skaters pick Slappy for kerbs, ledges and slappies that lock in without the kingpin catching.
FAQs
What size board do the Slappy ST1 Hollow Wide Boy 11" trucks fit?
They fit decks from 10.875" to 11.125", with the best match on an 11" deck. Slappy names its trucks by deck width, and within about 1/4" either side still works. For a 10.5" deck go for the 10.5" Wide Boy.
Why does the Wide Boy have a solid axle?
The 10.5" to 12" Wide Boys pair a hollow kingpin with a solid axle. A wide truck puts more leverage on its axle, so keeping it solid keeps it strong, while the hollow kingpin still saves weight.
Do I need risers with Wide Boy trucks?
It depends on your wheels. At 53.9mm they suit wheels up to about 56mm without risers. Wide pool setups often run 58mm to 60mm wheels or bigger, so add a 1/8" to 1/4" riser and longer bolts to stop wheel bite.
How tight should I set them?
For transition, most riders run wide trucks a little looser so they carve easily. Start snug, then back off a quarter turn at a time until the board turns freely without wobbling at speed. Leave at least two threads above the nut.
Do these come as a pair?
Yes. You get two trucks, which is enough for one board.
