What makes a good skate pant or jean?

Skateboarding is hard on clothing, and the bottoms that survive it are built differently to fashion denim. The things that matter: enough room through the thigh and knee to bend, squat and pop without the fabric fighting you; a fabric with some durability or stretch so it does not blow out at the knee in a week; and a rise and fit that stays put while you move. A lot of skate brands build exactly this — the look of streetwear with the movement and durability skating demands.
