What makes a Super73 street legal?

A fat tyre e-bike is street legal in Australia when it is EN15194-certified: a 250W motor, pedal-assist, with assistance cutting off at 25km/h. A bike that meets that spec is treated the same as a regular bicycle, so no licence and no registration. The fat tyres make no difference to that, which is where the common myth that fat tyre e-bikes are illegal comes from. How much power and range do you need?

Motor power drives hill performance and defines a street legal bike: 250W is the street legal spec and handles commuting comfortably, while the higher-powered models give more grunt for off-road and private land. Range comes down to battery capacity (measured in watt-hours), but claimed figures are always best-case, calculated flat with a light rider on low assist. Expect less with hills, rider weight, throttle use and cold weather, and ask us for the honest real-world number on the model you want.

How do you care for the battery?

Charge with the supplied charger, avoid storing fully flat or fully charged for long periods, do not charge unattended overnight, and keep it out of extreme heat. Genuine Super73 product from an authorised dealer means a battery and electronics you can trust. If a battery ever swells, smells or behaves oddly, stop using it and bring it to us.
