These bikes exceed EN15194 limits — higher motor output, higher top speeds, configurable performance modes. Built for riders who want maximum capability, not compliance.
Off-road unrestricted e-bikes are intended for private property, closed trails and off-road environments. They are not configured for legal use on Victorian public roads, shared paths or bike lanes. Riders are responsible for understanding and complying with local regulations wherever they ride. Fat tyres, serious torque, and the ability to handle sand, gravel, bush tracks and paddocks that a road-legal bike cannot. If you have the land or the access, these bikes deliver a riding experience standard path bikes cannot match.
Frequently Asked Questions
Private property, closed trails and off-road environments. Because these bikes exceed the 250W / 25km/h street legal spec, they are not legal on Victorian public roads, shared paths or bike lanes. Rules vary by state and the rider is responsible for complying. If you are unsure where you can ride, talk to us first.
Street legal bikes are 250W pedal-assist, capped at 25km/h, legally bicycles. These run higher power and top speeds with throttles, which puts them outside bicycle classification and makes them private-land and off-road machines. Both are good bikes, they just do different jobs.
Serious terrain. The extra torque and fat tyres let them handle sand, gravel, bush tracks, paddocks and steep, loose ground that a road-legal 250W bike cannot. On the right terrain the experience is closer to a light electric motorbike than a pedal bike.
Battery capacity sets the ceiling, but rider weight, terrain, throttle use, speed and temperature all cut the real figure below the best-case claim, often more so because you are using more power. Hard off-road riding drains a battery faster than gentle cruising. Ask us for the honest figure for how you will ride.
For local pickup we assemble and safety-check your bike free in our Richmond workshop. For shipped orders it arrives around 90 percent assembled, with a few quick finishing touches (front wheel, handlebars, pedals, seat), straightforward with the included tools in about 15 to 20 minutes. Given the power of these bikes, we recommend a proper once-over before the first ride, which our workshop can do.
Yes. Demo bikes are at our Richmond showroom, and Frosty's in-house workshop handles service, repairs, spares and warranty seven days a week in-store. Everything is genuine authorised-dealer product, which matters on higher-powered bikes where battery and electronics quality is a safety consideration.
