Who are these bikes for?

Riders who want maximum capability and have the land or trail access to use it legally. These are private-property and off-road machines: higher motor output, higher top speeds and configurable performance modes that put them outside bicycle classification. If you want to ride public roads, bike lanes and shared paths, you want the EN15194 street legal range instead, and we are happy to steer you there.

Where can you legally ride an unrestricted e-bike?

Private property, closed trails and genuine off-road environments. Because these bikes exceed the 250W / 25km/h street legal spec, they are not legal for use on Victorian public roads, shared paths or bike lanes. The rules vary by state and territory and do change, and the rider is responsible for complying wherever they ride. If you are not certain where you can use one, talk to us before you buy and we will give you a straight answer.

What can they actually do?

This is where the extra power earns its keep. Serious torque and fat tyres let these bikes handle sand, gravel, bush tracks, paddocks and steep, loose terrain that a road-legal 250W bike simply cannot. Higher top speeds and throttle control give a very different riding experience, closer to a light electric motorbike than a pedal bike, on the right terrain.

How much range and power do you get?

More power than a street legal bike, but the same physics on range: battery capacity (watt-hours) sets the ceiling, and rider weight, terrain, throttle use, speed and temperature all reduce the real number below the best-case claimed figure, often more so because you are using more power. Hard off-road riding drains a battery faster than gentle path cruising. Ask us for the honest real-world range on the model and how you intend to ride it.

Do the bikes come assembled?

It depends how you get it. For local pickup we assemble and safety-check your bike free in our Richmond workshop, so it is ready to ride. For shipped orders the bike arrives around 90 percent assembled, with just a few quick finishing touches to do yourself, such as fitting the front wheel, handlebars, pedals and seat. It is straightforward with the included tools and takes most people about 15 to 20 minutes, and we are on the phone if you want a hand. Given the power of these bikes, we would always recommend a proper once-over before your first ride, and our workshop can do that.

What support do you provide?

Demo bikes are available at our Richmond showroom, and Frosty's in-house workshop handles all service, repairs, spares and warranty in-store seven days a week. Everything is genuine authorised-dealer product, which matters more on higher-powered bikes where battery and electronics quality is a real safety consideration.
