Ace AF1 Hollow 33 Trucks Raw Polished | 8"
The lightest AF1 Ace makes, sized for 8.0" decks.
The Ace AF1 Hollow 33 is the lightest version of Ace's AF1, in raw polished aluminium and sold as a pair. It's for street skaters on an 8.0" deck who want the lightest, quickest-feeling Ace setup for flip tricks and ledges.
A hollow axle and hollow kingpin take about 8.6% off the weight of a standard AF1, according to Ace, while the hanger and baseplate are still cast from AA 356.2 alloy with Ace's own process and True T6 heat-treated. It keeps the classic Ace geometry and 53mm mid height, with a 12mm 91a top bushing and 14mm 86a bottom bushing for a smooth, controlled turn and a board that feels lighter under your feet.

What Size Board Does It Fit?
Match the truck's axle width to your deck width, ideally within about 1/8" and no more than about 1/4" either side, so the wheels sit right under the edge of the board. Ace numbers its AF1 Hollow sizes rather than naming them by width, so use this chart.
| Ace AF1 size | Axle width | Best board width |
|---|---|---|
| 22 | 7.75" | 7.5"–8.0" |
| 33 | 8.0" | 7.75"–8.125" |
| 44 | 8.25" | 8.125"–8.3" |
| 55 | 8.5" | 8.3"–8.75" |
| 60 | 8.75" | 8.5"–9.0" |
| 66 | 9.0" | 8.75"–9.25" |
| 77 | 9.5" | 9.25"–9.75" |
| 80 | 10.0" | 9.75" and up |
Sitting between two sizes? Go narrower for flip tricks and street, wider for stability in bowls and transition.
About Ace Trucks
Ace Trucks was founded in California in 2007 by Joey Tershay and Steve "Shrewgy" Ruge, with one goal: build the best performing skateboard trucks in skateboarding. Joey Pulsifer joined as a third partner in 2017.
Ace is known for its smooth, easy turn and clean, classic looks. In April 2021 it launched the AF1, cast with Ace's own process for a big jump in strength without changing the geometry riders already loved. Ace backs new trucks against manufacturing defects for their usable life to the original owner, which is a big part of why skaters trust them for street, park and bowl.
FAQs
What size board do the Ace AF1 Hollow 33 trucks fit?
The Ace AF1 Hollow 33 has an 8.0" axle and fits decks from 7.75" to 8.125". Ace sizes its trucks by number, not width, so check the chart above if you're between sizes. The Hollow uses the same sizing as the standard AF1.
Are hollow trucks as strong as standard trucks?
Ace says yes. The hollow parts are the axle and kingpin, which saves weight, while the hanger and baseplate use the same AF1 casting and heat treatment. You get a lighter truck with the same geometry and turn.
How tight should I set my Ace AF1 Hollow 33 trucks?
Start with the kingpin nut snug, then loosen it a quarter turn at a time until the board turns easily without wobbling at speed. Ace trucks are known for a smooth, easy turn, so many skaters run them a little tighter than other trucks. Always leave at least two threads showing above the nut.
Do I need risers with the Ace AF1 Hollow 33?
Usually not. At 53mm tall, they suit most street and park wheels up to about 56mm without risers. If you run bigger or softer wheels, or loose trucks that let the wheels touch the deck in hard turns, add a 1/8" riser and use 1/4" longer bolts.
Do these come as a pair?
Yes. You get two trucks, which is enough for one board.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
