Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on how you ride. A relaxed, baggier cut gives freedom of movement, layers easily and is more forgiving between sizes. A technical fitted shell suits high-output riders who layer deliberately and do not want fabric flapping at speed or snagging on a pack.

Size around the layers you will actually wear underneath, not around a t-shirt. A jacket that fits perfectly in the shop over a tee will be tight over a mid-layer in August. If you can get to the Richmond showroom, try it on with your layers.

They do not need to match visually and most riders do not bother. What matters is that the waterproof ratings are in the same ballpark, and that the pant can connect to the jacket's powder skirt if you want a sealed system. A 20K jacket over 10K pants leaves you wet from the waist down.

L1 is a strong default, rider-owned with a relaxed cut and good specs without the premium price. Yuki Threads is Australian designed, so sizing and conditions are built around ours. Burton spans everyday resort pieces up to the AK technical line. Airblaster suits riders who want something with more personality.

Treat 10K as a minimum rather than a target. 15K to 20K is where you want to be for regular riding, because Australian snow is wet and variable and saturates gear faster than dry powder does.
