Fat tyre e-bikes are the most practical electric vehicle most people will ever own. Wide tyres that handle sealed paths, gravel, sand and grass equally well. Enough range to cover real distances. Motor assist that takes the effort out of hills without taking the enjoyment out of riding.
Frequently Asked Questions
Street legal (EN15194-certified) bikes run a 250W motor, pedal-assist, capped at 25km/h, and are legally bicycles, so no licence or registration and you can ride roads, bike lanes and shared paths. Off-road bikes run higher power and top speeds with throttles, which makes them private-land and trail machines. Tell us where you ride and we will point you right.
Grip, stability and comfort across sealed paths, gravel, dirt, sand, grass and wet roads. They absorb bumps and hold a line in the wet, for a little extra weight the motor handles easily. It makes them the most versatile everyday electric vehicle for most riders.
No, that is a common myth. A fat tyre bike is exactly as legal as any other bike as long as it meets the street legal spec (250W, pedal-assist, 25km/h). We stock street legal certified models as well as off-road models for private land.
Range depends on battery size, rider weight, terrain, assist and temperature, and claimed figures are best-case. On hills, models with the right motor and torque climb comfortably. Ask us for the honest real-world figure on the model you want.
