The Evolve Diablo Carbon is Evolve's apex performance board — the same 3500W motors, 864Wh Samsung 50S battery, and EFOC 2.0 drivetrain as the Diablo Bamboo, wrapped in a forged carbon fibre deck that changes the entire character of the ride. Where the Bamboo flexes and carves with a surfy, forgiving feel, the Carbon is rigid, direct, and precise. It holds the road at speed without parasitic vibrations, corners with surgical feedback, and delivers a ride feel closer to a performance longboard than anything else in the Evolve range.

Top speed is 50km/h. Range is up to 50km in All Terrain mode and up to 80km on Street wheels — the largest battery Evolve has ever put in a production board. Dual 3500W 6374 motors produce 7000W combined, driven by the EFOC 2.0 controller with a 180A max discharge Samsung 50S cell that provides 20% more ride time than the previous generation. Hill climb is 45%+. Max rider load is 120kg. The 2-in-1 comes with both Street and All Terrain wheel setups ready to swap in minutes.

Carbon vs Bamboo — Which Diablo Is Right for You?

Both boards share identical motors, battery, motor controller, trucks, and electronics. The deck is the only difference — and it changes everything about how the board rides.

✅ Diablo Carbon — Zero flex. Rigid forged carbon fibre with a micro-drop concave. Precise, direct, and sporty at speed. Lighter than the Bamboo (13.1kg Street / 14.3kg AT). Best for riders who want the fastest, most responsive feel — experienced riders, speed-focused riding, technical carving on clean ground

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Carbon deck really that different to the Bamboo?

Yes — noticeably so. The Carbon is completely rigid with no flex. At speed it feels planted, direct, and precise — carving is tighter and more responsive, and there's no board movement underfoot absorbing your inputs. The Bamboo's flex softens the ride, absorbs bumps, and allows deeper carving arcs with a more forgiving feel. Neither is better objectively — it comes down to riding style and terrain. Come ride both in our Melbourne showroom and you'll know which one is yours within five minutes.

Is the Diablo Carbon suitable for heavier or taller riders?

Yes — the forged carbon deck is exceptionally strong and rated to 120kg. The rigidity of the carbon construction and wider foot landing actually makes the Carbon well suited to heavier riders who want a board that doesn't flex under their weight.

My remote vibrates when I accelerate hard — is something wrong?

No — this is Over Current mode working as designed. The Diablo allows a large current draw for short bursts (7–8 seconds) in CORSA mode, after which the remote drops to Sport mode temporarily. Release the trigger and it returns to CORSA automatically. It's a thermal and current protection feature, not a fault.

How does the Diablo Carbon compare to the Fusion?

The Diablo Carbon is substantially more powerful — 3500W motors vs 3000W, 864Wh battery vs 648Wh, 7000W vs 6000W combined, 45%+ hill grade vs 35%+, and up to 80km Street range vs 60km. The Carbon deck is also a completely different ride character from the Fusion's bamboo deck. The Fusion is a genuinely capable board at a lower price; the Diablo Carbon is the performance flagship.

Can I upgrade my GTR or Hadean to Diablo Carbon performance?

Technically possible, but it requires new 3500W motors, EFOC 2.0 motor controller, Samsung 50S battery, and new firmware — at that cost it's far better value to purchase the complete Diablo. Speak to our workshop if you want to explore this.
