The Onewheel GT is the board that changed everything. Longer range, more torque, bigger terrain — the GT was Future Motion's complete ground-up redesign of what a Onewheel could be, and it still stands as the longest-range board in the Onewheel lineup from the factory. Built for riders who want to crush the commute during the week and explore deep on weekends, the GT delivers full-day riding capability, serious hill-climbing muscle, and that unmistakable Onewheel surf-on-land feel — now at a level the XR couldn't touch.
The GT runs a 750W Hypercore hub motor on a higher-voltage 18s2 NMC battery system — the first Onewheel to hit three horsepower. That voltage bump translates directly to 45% more torque than the XR, stronger acceleration from a standstill, and stability at speed that makes the GT feel planted where the XR could feel twitchy. Range sits at 32–52km per charge depending on terrain, rider weight, and riding style — realistic all-day mixed riding will land you in the 35–45km window. Top speed is 32km/h. The GT also ships with Digital Shaping 3.0, six preset ride modes plus Custom Shaping, Simplestop, and app-connected headlights with 300% more lumens than the XR — including highbeams for night riding.
Tyre choice is one of the GT's best features. The Slick tyre is Onewheel's custom-profile round-edge design — optimised for deep rail-to-rail carving, that powder-day feel on pavement, and effortless flow. The Trail Slayer GT treaded tyre is ready for dirt, gravel, grass, and roots — grippy and aggressive where the slick floats. Both mount on the GT's 11.5" × 6.5" wheel, and both are available from the factory. Concave front and rear footpads, aggressive grip tape, and the built-in Maghandle Pro complete a board that's been rebuilt from scratch to the last detail — and assembled in the USA.

Is the Onewheel GT legal to ride in Australia?
Rules vary by state and territory. The GT is currently not available for supply into New South Wales due to NSW electrical safety certification requirements for e-micromobility devices. In Victoria, Queensland, and most other states, private use is generally permitted — however regulations around riding on public roads, paths, and footpaths differ by state and council area. Call us on 03 9421 2293 before purchasing if you want clarity on your state's rules.
Slick or Treaded tyre — which should I choose?
If you ride mostly on sealed surfaces — streets, paths, car parks, smooth trails — go Slick. The round profile gives you deeper carving, more flow, and that surfboard-on-pavement feel the GT is famous for. If you want to take it off-road onto dirt, gravel, grass, or roots — or you just want one tyre that handles everything — go the Trail Slayer GT treaded. You can also swap tyres down the track; both are available separately from our Melbourne showroom.
How does the GT compare to the GT S-Series?
The GT is the original flagship — 525Wh battery, 32km/h top speed, 32–52km range, 15kg. The GT S-Series is the performance upgrade: a completely re-engineered 113V powertrain with 50% more voltage, 40km/h top speed, 2kg lighter, and significantly more torque and stability at higher speeds. The GT is the better value board for everyday riding and longer range. The GT S-Series is for riders who want maximum performance and are willing to pay for it.
