OBFive Lola Surf Skate 31"
Surf the street when the waves go flat.
The OBFive Lola is a 31" surf skate made by surfers for surf training and flowing street sessions. It lets you pump for speed without pushing and carve rail to rail like you're linking turns on a wave. It's the all-round size in OBFive's range and suits bigger kids and adults from about 50 kg.
The 10" wide deck is Canadian maple with exotic veneers and a medium concave for a locked-in feel. Up front, OBFive's 6.5" reverse-kingpin surf truck pivots deep into turns, while a 6.5" rear truck keeps it stable. Soft 65mm 78a high-rebound wheels give smooth roll and grip on footpaths, skateparks and beach paths.

About OBFive Skateboards
OBFive was founded on the Gold Coast in 2011 by Kris O'Brien, who brought more than 20 years in the surf industry to the brand. He set out to make skateboards that surfers would connect with: classic shapes, bold, bright prints and smooth, quality parts. The brand is still based on the Gold Coast, with its warehouse in Burleigh Heads, Queensland.
Today OBFive makes cruisers, longboards and surf skates, and has sold more than 70,000 boards worldwide. Its surf skates are built by surfers for surf training, and its cruisers and longboards are known for good-looking, easy-riding setups that suit everyone from first-timers to seasoned riders. It's proudly Australian, and made for the way we ride here.
FAQs
What is the OBFive Lola best for?
Surf training and flowing carves on land. The surf front truck lets you pump for speed and carve rail to rail, so it's ideal for practising your surf timing and turns, cruising the beach path or flowing around a skatepark bowl.
Is a 31" surfskate the right size for me?
For most bigger kids and adults, yes. OBFive sizes its surf skates by weight: 28" for riders under 50 kg, 31" for 50 kg and up, and 33" for riders over 80 kg who want extra drive and stability. The Lola's 10" width gives a roomy platform that suits bigger feet and a comfortable surf stance.
Is the Lola good for beginners?
Yes. It's stable enough for first-time surf skaters but responsive enough to keep progressing. It feels loose at first because the front truck turns so much, so start on flat, smooth ground and get comfortable carving before you start pumping.
What is a surfskate?
A surfskate is a skateboard with a special front truck that turns much further than a normal truck, so you can pump and carve like you would on a wave. On the Lola, OBFive's 6.5" reverse-kingpin surf truck pivots deep under the nose while the rear truck keeps it steady. Surfers use them to train turns and timing, and skaters love the flow.
Can I commute on the Lola?
Yes, for short trips around the neighbourhood or to the beach. Once you can pump, you'll cover flat ground with very little pushing, and the soft 78a wheels handle rough footpaths. Surf skates feel loose at speed, so for long, flat commutes a cruiser or longboard is more efficient.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.

Simply put, a surfskate is a skateboard for surfing the street. Surfskates use special trucks that enable riders to mimic the movements, feel, and flow of surfing. Surfskates were originally invented by surfers who wanted something to do on flat days. As time has passed, surf skating has proven to be one of the most enduring passions of skaters and surfers alike. Whether you love to skate or surf, surfskating is the closest experience you can get to gliding down and carving a wave.
