Globe Archer Daybreak Longboard | 39"
Long, smooth and light on its feet.
The Globe Archer is a 38.5" top-mount longboard for cruising, carving and getting places. It combines a long 27.25" wheelbase for stability with lightweight magnesium trucks and mid-size wheels for a nimble, responsive feel. The Daybreak graphic is by featured artist Jannik Stegen. It suits teens and adults who want a full-size longboard that turns more easily than a big, heavy board.
The deck is Resin-7 hard rock maple with a medium side-to-side concave and a lighter rocker profile, so your feet feel held without being locked in too tight. It rides on 6.25" Slant Hi-Rise magnesium trucks, which keep weight down and give a lively turn, and 63mm 78a Globe Dragster wheels. Those smaller, soft wheels make it quick to get rolling and responsive through carves.

About Globe
Globe is a Melbourne skate brand through and through. Brothers Peter, Stephen and Matt Hill grew up skating in Melbourne, and in 1985 they started importing skateboards out of Fitzroy, a business that became Hardcore Enterprises. The Globe brand itself was born in 1994, starting with skate shoes. The company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2001, moved into its Port Melbourne headquarters, and launched its own line of skateboards, cruisers and longboards in 2010.
Today Globe is still led by the Hill family, with Matt Hill as CEO, and still based in Port Melbourne. It makes its decks and trucks in its own factory. Its cruisers and longboards are known for epoxy-pressed Resin-7 and Resin-8 maple decks, soft Globe cruiser wheels and bold, art-led graphics, all set up as ready-to-ride completes. From the pocket-sized Blazer to the 40" Geminon Rock, it's a range built for real streets and everyday riders.
FAQs
What is the Globe Archer best for?
Cruising and carving with a lighter, more responsive feel than most full-size longboards. The long wheelbase keeps it stable, while the magnesium trucks and 63mm wheels make it quick to turn and easy to get up to speed. It's a cruiser and carver, not a downhill board.
Is a 39" longboard the right size for me?
It suits most teens and adults, including taller riders, and the 9.75" width gives plenty of foot room. It's a full-size longboard, so it's stable but less portable. If you want something easier to carry, the 34" Prowler Mid or 36" Blazer XL are shorter options.
Is the Archer good for beginners?
Yes. The long wheelbase and wide deck make it stable, and the medium concave gives your feet a clear place to sit. Because it's a top-mount, it sits a little higher than a drop-through, so it feels slightly less planted at first but more responsive once you start carving.
What's the difference between drop-through and top-mount?
The Archer is a top-mount: the deck sits on top of the trucks, which gives a direct, carvy feel and more leverage over the trucks. A drop-through, like the Geminon, mounts the trucks through the deck so it rides lower. That's easier to push and more stable at speed, but feels less lively in turns.
Can I commute on the Archer?
Yes. The 63mm 78a wheels are soft enough for most footpaths and bike paths, and the long deck is comfortable over distance. Bigger wheels roll over rough ground better, so if your route is very coarse, the 70mm wheels on the Bender or Geminon will be smoother.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
