Jaime Owens, who previously worked for Skateboarder and TransWorld SKATEboarding, has established CLOSER, an independent skateboarding magazine brand.
As someone who has been involved in skate media for over 20 years, Owens intends to use this magazine as a passion project to continue telling the story of skateboarding in all its forms.
The aim is to offer another valuable voice to the skate world and preserve the essence of skateboarding in a beautiful premium package. The magazine will include contributions from respected and legendary skateboarding figures, both past and present, and will celebrate the true spirit of skateboarding in an all-inclusive manner. In addition to the print component, CLOSER will expand into the social and digital realms, with exclusive video content that delves deeper into the magazine's topics and featured skaters.
Owens is committed to making CLOSER the best it can be and will use the knowledge and experience gained from working with Skateboarder and TransWorld SKATEboarding to achieve that goal.
