Purple dip, a grinning skull, and Blake Armstrong's loose watercolour-tattoo linework — "Ghoul" is Chandler Burton's pro model for There Skateboards, and it doesn't try to be subtle about it. There built its reputation on graphics with actual attitude, and this is exactly that: horror-tinged, hand-drawn, and unmistakably There.
Chandler Burton rides for There, a queer-owned company that grew out of Jeffrey Cheung's Unity collective — a brand built specifically to put LGBTQ+ skaters front and centre on a team roster, not as an afterthought. The graphics carry that identity loudly, but the decks underneath are built to the same 7-ply maple standard as anything else in the shop.
