Ride Drone Men's Snowboard Binding 2027 | White
White Ride Drone 2027: A Clean-Looking Binding With an All-Mountain Brain.
If you want your setup to look sharp without giving up any function, the White Ride Drone is a strong pick. The 2027 Drone is Ride's men's all-mountain snowboard binding, rated Medium for response and built for riders who split the day between groomers, powder and the park.
Strap in and the first thing you feel is how light and direct it is. The A-Series aluminium chassis is slim, which leaves the board free to flex, and the heel cup is extruded aluminium for crisp heelside turns. The two-piece ankle strap pairs a urethane frame with a cushion that spreads out as you tighten, and the ultra light, medium flex highback supports you without stiffening up the ride. In White, the Drone looks fresh against a dark board and makes a nice contrast with a black boot.
The Tech and What It Does on the Hill
✅ A-Series Aluminium Chassis: light and strong, and slimmer than a moulded plastic base, so your board can flex more freely from tip to tail. Ride covers the chassis with a lifetime warranty
✅ Extruded Aluminium Heel Cup: quick transfer from toe edge to heel edge, so the board turns when you ask it to
✅ Two-Piece Asymmetrical Ankle Strap: more give on the inside of your ankle so you can still move, with a urethane frame and a cushion that spreads out as you ratchet down, so no hot spots
✅ 3D Shaped Asymmetrical Highback: medium flex and very light, solid support on heelside turns without making the binding feel rigid
✅ Minimalist Core Toe Strap: sits wherever suits your boot, over the top or on the toe
✅ Linkage Ratchets: no ratchet wag and ladders that last longer
✅ Canted Footbed with A-Series TPU Base Pad: keeps your knees in a more natural line and calms the buzz from chatter and firm landings
✅ Tool-less strap removal: pull the toe and ankle straps off without hunting for a screwdriver
✅ Fully adjustable chassis: centre your boot heel to toe over the board for even leverage on both edges
Best for: intermediate to advanced riders after a medium response, all-mountain snowboard binding with real board feel, ready for groomers, powder days and laps through the park.
Built for Australian Conditions
Spring at Mt Buller often means hard, scraped corduroy before ten and wet slush by lunch, and a cold change can leave refrozen chop that rattles your knees. The Drone's canted footbed and TPU base pad help with that, and its middle-of-the-road response is easy to live with as conditions swing around. If a Japan or Canada trip is on the cards, a medium binding is a smart way to cover deep days and long groomers with one setup.
Setup Tips from the Shop
Start by centring your boot so the toe and heel hang over the edges by roughly the same amount; the fully adjustable chassis makes that easy. Set the strap lengths so the ankle padding sits square across the middle of your boot and the ratchet still has a few clicks of travel left when it's tight. Check the mounting screws after your first couple of days on snow, because new discs can settle. We'll mount and set up your bindings for free when you buy in store.
Not for you if: you're brand new and want the softest, most forgiving binding possible, or you're an expert who wants a stiff binding to drive a big freeride board. Browse our men's snowboard bindings and use the filters to narrow it down to your size and preferred flex.

FAQs
How do I pick the right Ride Drone binding size?
Match your boot to Ride's chart: Medium for US Men's 6 to 10, Large for US Men's 10.5 and up. Every boot brand's outsole is a little different, so if you're on the border, call 03 9421 2293 or bring your boots to 435A Bridge Rd Richmond. Our binding size charts have the details for every brand we carry.
What does Medium response mean on the Ride Drone?
It's Ride's middle rating: supportive enough to hold an edge on firm snow, with enough give to stay comfortable and playful in powder and the park. Ride lists the Drone for all mountain, powder and park.
Can I remove the straps on the Ride Drone without tools?
Yes. Ride designed the toe and ankle straps to come off tool-less, which is handy for swapping parts or packing the bindings flat for travel.
Will the Ride Drone mount to my board?
The Drone uses a plastic disc and Ride doesn't publish its insert compatibility, so send us your board model and we'll check it for you before you buy.
About Ride
Ride started out of the Seattle area in 1992 with freestyle running through everything it made, and more than three decades on it still builds snowboards, boots and bindings with the same attitude: put the effort into how the gear rides, not into marketing gimmicks. You can see it in the details we care about at the shop, like aluminium binding chassis covered by a lifetime warranty, boot outsoles made with up to 30% reground rubber, and FSC certified packaging.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
