What makes Summerboard different?

Summerboard's signature is its motion system. The board lets your stance shift and swivel as you carve, recreating the loose, flowing feel of riding a snowboard or surfboard far more closely than a rigid electric deck. Instead of staying locked to the board, your feet move with it through every turn. For boardsport riders chasing that sensation off-season or off-mountain, nothing else on the market rides like it. Is a Summerboard hard to learn?

It rides differently to a standard electric skateboard because your feet move with the board, so there is a short adjustment if you are used to a rigid deck. For snowboarders and surfers it clicks fast, because it mirrors the movement you already know. Ride modes let you cap speed and ease in while you learn the motion, and we strongly recommend riding a demo first, since it is the kind of board you have to feel to understand.

What is the real-world range?

Claimed range is a best-case figure on any electric board, calculated flat with a light rider. Hills, rider weight, riding style and cold weather all reduce it. Tell us how far you ride and we will be honest about what to expect from the model, rather than quoting the box figure.

How do you care for the battery, and is it legal?

Use the supplied charger, do not charge unattended overnight, store cool and around half charge for long periods, and wear protective gear, especially while learning the motion. Genuine product from an authorised dealer means a battery and electronics you can trust. On legality, electric rideable laws vary by state and territory and do change, so check your state's current rules before you ride, and if you are unsure how they apply, talk to us.
