What is Ace known for?

Founded in 2006, Ace Truck Mfg is one of the few genuinely independent skateboard truck brands, and it built its reputation on a distinctive turn. Ace trucks are known for a responsive, surfy, almost carvy feel with strong pop and reliable grinds, which many skaters prefer over the more neutral feel of the bigger truck brands. They come in a wide range of sizes and colours, and have a devoted following among street and transition skaters who love how they turn.

What size Ace trucks do you need?

Match the truck width to your deck width so the wheels sit roughly flush with the edges. Ace uses its own sizing (for example the Ace 22 suits roughly 8.0 to 8.25 inch decks, the Ace 33 suits around 8.25 to 8.6 inch, and the Ace 44 suits wider decks). Because the numbering is not the same as other brands, it is worth checking against your deck. Why do skaters love the Ace turn?

Ace trucks have a geometry that gives a deeper, more responsive turn than many standard trucks, with a lively, surfy feel that makes carving and quick direction changes feel natural, while still locking in for grinds. Riders who find other trucks a bit dead or stiff often switch to Ace for that liveliness. Like any truck, you can fine-tune the turn further with bushings, softer for more turn, firmer for more stability.

Standard or titanium?

Ace offers standard trucks and lighter titanium-axle versions. Standard is the tough, reliable everyday build; the titanium versions shave weight for skaters chasing a lighter setup for flip tricks. Both share the same Ace geometry and turn feel, so the difference is weight and price.
