What can you do in store?

Boot fitting, done properly

Snowboard boots are the most important gear decision you will make, and a poorly fitted boot ruins the mountain regardless of what board you are on. We fit boots in store with heat moulding included free on every boot purchase. Allow 30 to 45 minutes, bring your snowboard socks, try multiple brands, and leave with a boot that actually works for your foot. No appointment needed, and weekday mornings are quietest.

Waxing and tuning, year round

Frosty runs our in-house workshop at the Richmond store, handling snowboard and ski waxing, edge tuning, base repair and boot heat moulding. It is open year round, so you can drop a board in well before the season rather than queuing in June. Full details on the waxing and tuning page.

Binding setup

Free stance setup with every binding purchase. Bring your boots and we will dial in width, angles, highback and straps before you leave. If you bought bindings elsewhere and want them set up, come in anyway.

Every product in our snowboard range has been assessed by people who ride Falls Creek, Mt Buller, Mt Hotham and Thredbo. Australian snow is wetter and heavier than Japan, the US or Europe, and it demands different specs than northern hemisphere buying guides suggest. When you ask which board suits your riding, the answer comes from experience rather than a spec sheet.

What do you stock?

The full setup: boards, boots, bindings, outerwear, goggles, helmets, accessories and apparel. Boards across all riding styles including all-mountain, freestyle, freeride, powder and splitboard. Boots in every flex rating and lacing system. Bindings from entry level through to Step On systems.

We are an authorised Australian dealer for the brands we stock, which means genuine warranty, manufacturer support and access to the full range rather than grey market stock. Which resorts do Melbourne riders use?

Victorian resorts typically open in June and run through to September, with peak conditions at Falls Creek, Mt Buller and Mt Hotham through July and August. Mt Baw Baw is the closest resort to Melbourne and suits beginners and day trips. For serious riding, Falls Creek and Hotham are the destinations, and Mt Buller is the one most Melbourne riders drive to at around three hours.
