The legacy of Sims is built upon bridging the gap between skate and snow. No one embodied this more than Noah Salasnek. 30 years later after its release, Sims have celebrated the iconic 93 Salasnek graphic, re-issuing it to select stores worldwide. Featuring 90’s inspired early rise tip and tail, paired with traditional camber and long effective edge make this the perfect shape to bomb & skate the mountain.
The original NUB was released in 1993 and was the most influential board of its time, and will no doubt remain a board that will forever hold a place in peoples heart. When it came out everybody wanted one. Salasnek started his Pro career at age 17 on a skateboard sponsored by H-Street in the 80's. His skate career lasted 7 years which included magazine covers, Pro model boards and various video parts along the way. He picked up a snowboard in 1988 and by 1993 after H-Street ran into financial issues, he had struck a deal with legend Tom Sims and had his first Pro model, the Nub. Noah Salasnék burst into the snowboard scene at a critical time in the 90's and with him came this smooth skate style flare. Remember this was at a time when people were trying out snowboarding often coming from skiing so it was lots of hard boots and slalom. Kids were drawn to what Salasnek could do on a board and could relate, changing the course of snowboarding forever. He was a pioneer, and a trailblazer and through his epic video parts in Fall Line Films, Standard Films, and Mack Dawg Productions people wanted to emulate his riding style. His iconic skate truck graphic literally connected skateboarding and snowboarding and helped create what snowboarding is today. Noah sadly passed away in 2017 after a battle with cancer and is truly missed but always remembered.
