Let’s step it up another level! Winter is in full swing here in Victoria, and its proving to be a winter for the books! While the skins are barely drying, we are preparing to pack up the splitboards for yet another mission.
Let's Split has just wrapped up its second trip, the recent one being a thorough success in Guthega, NSW. While the snow conditions have been enjoyable, they have been manageable as well. With Mountainwatch.com forecasting a linear projection nearing 100cm(!!) we backcountry travellers are turning our heads to balance the enthusiasm for the fresh precip, but also having to hit the brakes and mitigate it.
We covered the basics in the last info night (we will have a re-cap for you to take if you missed out) and now it’s time to dig a little deeper. We will host another of our Twelve Talks X Lets Split info night, this upcoming Thursday in store. This week we will cover a range of topics applicable to the first timer all the way through to the seasoned splitboarder. Our in house Mountain Guide Nate and Let's Split host Amine will be going through trip planning, terrain reading, scenarios, gear talk and of course an open discussion to field questions and concerns. So bring your notepads! Included will be snacks, refreshments as well as material you can take away to look over and setup your sidecountry adventures.
Twelve will also be proudly announcing their Japan Tour and providing the information to take your splitboarding and powder search to the next level!
There will also have a workshop technician able to tune your boards or skis while in store.
