OBFive Paradise City Drop Through Longboard 38"
Low, stable and easy to push. Paradise for cruising.
The OBFive Paradise City is a 38" drop-through longboard for cruising, commuting and learning to carve. It sits low and feels stable from the first push, so it's a great first longboard for teens and adults, and an easy daily rider for anyone who just wants to roll.
The deck is made from bamboo and Canadian maple veneers, with the trucks mounted through the deck to bring you closer to the ground. Seven-inch OBFive trucks and big, soft 70mm 78a high-rebound wheels make it smooth and steady over rough footpaths, and ABEC 7 chrome bearings keep it rolling.

About OBFive Skateboards
OBFive was founded on the Gold Coast in 2011 by Kris O'Brien, who brought more than 20 years in the surf industry to the brand. He set out to make skateboards that surfers would connect with: classic shapes, bold, bright prints and smooth, quality parts. The brand is still based on the Gold Coast, with its warehouse in Burleigh Heads, Queensland.
Today OBFive makes cruisers, longboards and surf skates, and has sold more than 70,000 boards worldwide. Its surf skates are built by surfers for surf training, and its cruisers and longboards are known for good-looking, easy-riding setups that suit everyone from first-timers to seasoned riders. It's proudly Australian, and made for the way we ride here.
FAQs
What is the OBFive Paradise City best for?
Cruising and commuting. The drop-through mount puts you low to the ground, so it's stable and easy to push, and the big 70mm wheels roll smoothly over rough footpaths and bike paths. It also carves nicely at relaxed speeds.
Is a 38" longboard the right size for me?
For most teens and adults, yes. 38" is a classic all-round longboard length: stable, roomy and still easy to carry. If you want something more compact and nimble, look at a 30" to 33" cruiser. If you mainly want long-distance stability, a 40" to 42" board gives a little more room.
Is the Paradise City good for beginners?
Yes. Drop-through boards are among the easiest to learn on because they sit low, which makes balancing, pushing and foot-braking easier. The soft wheels are forgiving on rough ground and it feels stable from day one.
What's the difference between drop-through and top-mount?
On a drop-through like the Paradise City, the trucks are mounted through cut-outs in the deck, so the board sits lower. That makes pushing and braking easier and adds stability at speed, which is why it's great for commuting and beginners. A top-mount board has the trucks bolted underneath, so it sits higher and turns with more leverage, which suits riders who want a carvier, more responsive feel.
Can I commute on the Paradise City?
Yes, it's a great commuter. The low ride height makes long pushes less tiring, and the 70mm 78a wheels handle cracks, rough footpaths and car parks with ease. It's longer than a cruiser, so it's a little bulkier to carry on a tram or bus.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
