The Dinghy is the short, wide member of Nitro's Quiver Series, and it only comes in wide sizes. Big boots fit without drag, the compact length makes it quick through trees, and the extra surface area keeps you planing when the snow gets deep.

This is no soft pow toy. Trüe Camber, a 7/10 flex and a Powercore II core with beech stringers give it real snap and edge hold on groomers, while the Reflex Core Profile thins the core between your feet so it turns easily. A tapered directional shape with a progressive sidecut keeps it surfy, and the Sintered EcoSpeed HD base is fast and soaks up wax.

Best for: bigger-footed or experienced riders who want a short, wide board that floats in powder, slices trees and still carves hard on corduroy.

FAQs

What size Dinghy should I get?
Because it's short and wide, most riders go a few centimetres shorter than their usual board. Nitro rates the 155 for riders from 70kg and the 160 from 75kg. Want it quicker in trees, go 155; want more float and speed, go 160.

Is the Dinghy good for big boots?
That's exactly what it's built for. Every Dinghy is a wide, with a 267 to 269mm waist, so larger boots sit on the board without toe or heel drag.

Dinghy or Slash?
Both use Trüe Camber, a Powercore II core and a sintered base. The Dinghy is shorter and wide-only for a compact, quick ride. The Slash adds Nitro's 3D Surf Tech base (convex nose, concave tail) and a deeper setback for a more pow-focused, surfy feel.

What bindings fit the Dinghy?
Any standard 4-hole binding (2x4 or 4x4 disc) fits, plus Burton Re:Flex discs. Burton EST bindings won't mount, as they need Burton's Channel. Set your stance width inside the range Nitro lists for your size in the chart above.
