Globe Geminon Longboard Arid | 37.5"
Minimal art, low ride, room to progress.
The Geminon Arid is a symmetrical drop-through longboard from Globe's abstract, minimalist art series. It's built for cruising, rolling down slopes and getting into (or getting better at) downhill. The deck is 10" wide with a long 28.25" wheelbase, giving a roomy, stable platform. It suits teens and adults who want a longboard they can grow with.
It's made from Resin-8 hard rock maple, eight plies pressed with epoxy for a firm, durable deck. A nose-to-tail rocker and medium side-to-side concave keep your feet feeling planted through turns. Drop-through mounting on 180mm Slant reverse kingpin trucks keeps it low and steady, and wider 70mm 83a Globe Conical Cruiser wheels roll fast and hold speed.

About Globe
Globe is a Melbourne skate brand through and through. Brothers Peter, Stephen and Matt Hill grew up skating in Melbourne, and in 1985 they started importing skateboards out of Fitzroy, a business that became Hardcore Enterprises. The Globe brand itself was born in 1994, starting with skate shoes. The company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2001, moved into its Port Melbourne headquarters, and launched its own line of skateboards, cruisers and longboards in 2010.
Today Globe is still led by the Hill family, with Matt Hill as CEO, and still based in Port Melbourne. It makes its decks and trucks in its own factory. Its cruisers and longboards are known for epoxy-pressed Resin-7 and Resin-8 maple decks, soft Globe cruiser wheels and bold, art-led graphics, all set up as ready-to-ride completes. From the pocket-sized Blazer to the 40" Geminon Rock, it's a range built for real streets and everyday riders.
FAQs
What is the Globe Geminon best for?
Cruising, slopes and progressing into downhill. The low drop-through deck and rocker keep you planted, and the 83a wheels roll fast and hold their line. It's also a solid all-round longboard for getting around.
Is a 37.5" longboard the right size for me?
For most teens and adults, yes. The 10" width suits bigger feet and gives a very stable stance. If you want a shorter board that's easier to carry, look at the 34" Prowler Mid; for more length and a 30" wheelbase, the 40" Geminon Rock.
Is the Geminon good for beginners?
Yes. The low, wide drop-through deck is easy to balance on, push and foot-brake, and the symmetrical shape keeps things simple. The 83a wheels are a little firmer than a soft cruiser wheel, so smoother surfaces will feel best while you learn.
What's the difference between drop-through and top-mount?
A drop-through like the Geminon has its trucks bolted through the deck, so it rides lower. That gives you easier pushing, better stability at speed and easier foot-braking, which is why it suits learning downhill. A top-mount sits higher for a more responsive, carvy feel.
Can I commute on the Geminon?
Yes. The 70mm wheels roll well over cracks and joins, and the firmer 83a urethane keeps you moving with less effort on smooth paths. On very coarse or broken footpaths, a softer 78a wheel will feel smoother.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
